For those of you who need an explanation on how this works:
When you rub your elbow in front of a wall, the wall thinks you’re going to practice an elbow drop on it. This makes it so scared that it backs up.

I just tried this and it actually works, and I swear I saw my wall move💀

For those who don’t know, this happens because when you rub your elbow, your brain knows you’re rubbing it, but the wall doesn’t know so it backs away from you.

I tried it from my bed and I still can't reach the ceiling.

It is because she reaches farther on the initial reach to touch the wall. Look at her shoulder going forward. She does not know she is LEANING to reach the wall. When she disengages, she expects that she can still reach the wall so she does not lean forward and her shoulder is back, as you would reach when standing upright (not leaning forward).

Ok, so here's the explanation:

Initially you won't measure the distance between your body and the wall, the free initial position of your body subconsciously forces you to reach the wall even though the actual distance between your body and the wall is not exactly arm's length, so your body will actually lean forward a little, the trick here is that when you're asked to rub your elbow, it makes your body straight and think that to reach the wall you would just stretch your arms forward (assuming that you have reached it before), but it turns out you don't reach it because that is the actual distance between your body and the wall.

It's a combination of suggestion and science.

For those who needs a serious explanation:

The elbow is the region between the upper arm and the forearm that surrounds the elbow joint. The elbow includes prominent landmarks such as the olecranon, the cubital fossa (also called the chelidon, or the elbow pit), and the lateral and the medial epicondyles of the humerus. The elbow joint is a hinge joint between the arm and the forearm; more specifically between the humerus in the upper arm and the radius and ulna in the forearm which allows the forearm and hand to be moved towards and away from the body. The term elbow is specifically used for humans and other primates, and in other vertebrates it is not used. In those cases, forelimb plus joint is used.

Wow, after trying this, I was amazed

Found out why this happens! When you run your elbow, you actually lean back just a little bit because of the force, hence why you cant reach the wall anymore. I tested it and when i stayed completely still my hand could touch the wall again even after rubbing the elbow :3

Explanation:- when you put your hand on wall then you apply your pressure on wall, and when you take it back you body select a fix position and then you might keep you hand in same position or you body move little back which make your hand go back. Hope so you understand

In simple way to say its all because of managing centre of mass of your body

Sure! Here's a basic muffin recipe:

Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Optional: add-ins like chocolate chips, blueberries, nuts, etc.

Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line a muffin tin with paper liners.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
3. In a separate bowl, mix together the milk, oil or melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay.
5. If using any add-ins, gently fold them into the batter.
6. Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
7. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
8. Remove from the oven and let cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Enjoy your homemade muffins!

Early recipe:

Here's a delicious chocolate cupcake recipe:

### Ingredients:

#### Cupcakes:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup buttermilk, room temperature
- 1/2 cup hot water

#### Chocolate Buttercream Frosting:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
- 3-4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt

### Instructions:

#### Cupcakes:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. Add the vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat on medium speed until well combined.
4. Slowly add the buttermilk, mixing until just incorporated.
5. Carefully add the hot water to the batter, mixing on low speed until smooth. The batter will be thin.
6. Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
7. Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
8. Allow the cupcakes to cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

#### Chocolate Buttercream Frosting:
1. In a large bowl, beat the butter on medium speed until creamy, about 2 minutes.
2. Gradually add the powdered sugar and cocoa powder, one cup at a time, beating on low speed until incorporated.
3. Add the heavy cream, vanilla extract, and salt. Beat on high speed for 3 minutes, until the frosting is light and fluffy. If the frosting is too thick, add a little more cream; if it's too thin, add more powdered sugar.
4. Once the cupcakes are completely cool, frost them using a piping bag or a spatula.

People not understanding that your shoulder position affects your reach is crazy lol

JuztinXG

For anyone wondering how this works: when you put your hand on the wall your shoulder extends too without you realizing it, however when you put your hand down you don't extend your elbow aswell as your hand therefore your hand doesn't reach the wall. Your welcome.

For those who may be confused, let me clarify: when you rub your elbow, your shoulder shifts backward, moving further away from its original position. to elaborate further, when you first extend your arm, your shoulder is at ease. yet, when you engage in rubbing or rotating your arm, it deviates from its initial state, causing the shoulder to lift and move slightly backward.

for everyone who doesn’t understand, this is how it works, when your hand is on the wall, your center of gravity is more forward bc your hand is against the wall and you can’t fall forward, but when you take it away you sway more to your heals and your center of gravity is now over your feet not allowing you to fall and when you stick it out again, your center of gravity stays the same, and it gives the false appearance that your hand got shorter
