Cleaning the throttle makes a huge difference, i notice I’m barely stepping on the gas on the freeway now and it literally feels smooth. Doesn’t feel rough, throttle response is better and it also fixed an issue I was having during idle. The rpm’s would fluctuate at random and wouldn’t happen all the time.

I just cleaned throttle body of my 2008 Mazda 3 Takara today and it's better than before.. i didn't found any video on YT for my Takara, so I decided to do this by checking other videos available for other models of mazda 3.. then i removed the air filter pipe for easy access and removed the Rubber hose from both end and cleaned with Just contact cleaner.. its a drive by wire system so i dit it myself without any help.. also i removed the MAF Sensor and cleaned with contact cleaner and wait for 10 min to dry both.. then packed well and

The better way to clean is to remove it from the assembly and clean it from both sides. This way the liquid doesn't go into intake and the performance remains perfect afterwards.

I wouldn't. Spray straight into the throttle body like that. I seen many guys damage the sensors next to it. IAC grab a Clean Rag Spray it. Then with the rag clean the throttle body. Your welcome.

I just don’t understand why my throttle body valves won’t open as I’m stepping on the gas pedal? I warmed up the engine enough to see if the valves open but remains shut.

I was only cleaning the throttle body and I noticed this behavior.
