From a nearby town to where this took place. The word of what happened is, the wife left with the kids about 3-4 weeks prior to the event, apparently the sheriff was abusive. The Judge was suspected by the sheriff of helping the wife, filing papers, judge was in contact with them etc. Sheriffs wife and oldest daughter would not return his calls and he had no idea where they had gone. He confronted the judge over lunch, went back to the chambers and attempted to call his wife and daughter from his (sheriffs) phone and they did not answer. He took the Judges phone and called his daughters number and the daughter then answered. The Sheriff hung up and the crime took place.

True or not, this is what people who know the sheriffs family and the Judges have passed along the streets in a small town. Just the messenger here, so if it turns out to not be true, my apologies up front.

Bro I have been seeing so many channels purely speculating and running with the rumors. Finally someone breaking down the information that we know and the legal system etc. Glad you are covering this story. Also as someone born and raised in KY I fully expect that this case will uncover a lot of corruption but I am not on the speculation train. I wanna know what happened

I grew up near that area. I've heard reporters describe it as "Mayberry". That is far from the truth. There's been arrests of those in the judicial system arrested in the past in these small "Mayberry" towns. Including rx trafficking by a sheriff. Sx trafficking or assault would not surprise me. I, myself, was sx assaulted by a deputy in a larger town. There are good ppl in every profession. But there are also very, very bad ppl in them. The profession doesn't change the essence of a human.

I live in the area where this happened and I’m so glad that you’re not like so many other channels all they do is spread rumors and talk about things that know nothing about ! Thank you for being a class act Peter .

I think he'll want it to go to trial so the judge can be exposed for whatever the Sheriff felt he did

The judge may have been trying to help the daughter. Not going to jump to conclusions regarding the victim.

I’ve never seen or heard a detective that nervous and stressed at an initial hearing. Stamper is an experienced KSP detective and whatever the non-public facts are at this point, they’ve got him shook.

The “trying to kidnap my wife and kid” comment really makes me wonder if wife/daughter were about to expose DV or a corruption scandal and were working with the judge because they couldn’t trust the other officers.

The judge saying "take your best shot, " when it's a case about a judge being shot...

It sounds like the defense attorney is trying to nudge the investigator to get the daughter’s phone and make sure the apps are checked on the judge’s phone. Definitely agree the defense is outlining a picture of what may have led to this 😞

My schedule makes it hard to catch “lives” I so respect and appreciate the manner you present and “withhold” unnecessary, titillating videos to protect others from exposure to unnecessary violence. Your ability to “pause” and reflect on the benefits or negative impact of presentation reflects your integrity to review content and still preserve an environment of learning, not trauma for the sake of ratings or memberships. Class Act Sir.
