Getting Started: MikroTik Backups

You forgot to mention that exporting a configuration into a file doesn't export system/users part of the configuration whereas backup does, and as such backup is meant to be restored on exact device it was pulled from, while the export is meant to be used as a sort of a cookie cutter configuration file on new devices.

I think that there is a way to restore .backup file, and then reset MAC addresses to make it work without issues, not sure though.
