How to Search for Word or Phrase in Book | Mac Basics

Hi, Lacey here, and I'm going to show you how to search for a word or a phrase, in a book. So right now we have I-books open, we're going to open up one of the books in our library. Now once we're in here, if we want to search for a word, we'll go up to the top right hand corner where you see a little spotlight, just like the one that's on your computer when you look up something. You click on it and you can type in a word or a page number. In this case I'm going to type in a word, and then it searches and it shows me everywhere that word shows up in the book.

So I can click on the first example and it will take me to that word and highlight it. You can also type in phrases. So if I type in a phrase that I can remember from the book, it will take me to exactly where that phrase is. And once again, you can click on it and it will highlight it. So that's how you look up words and phrases in a book.

And you don't add captions in your videos for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing community? Shame on you.
