Timing the charge shots so they slam him JUST as his post damage invincibility ends is just so damn satisfying.

This Boss is always going to hold a special place in my heart for being the point for where I realized how much I both suck at Pizza Tower and how eager I was for the challenge.


With Pepperman, I did have to do multiple attempts, but that was more because at first I didn't understand the boss mechanics and ended up missing out on no-hit runs because I suck at chasing him down to finish him

With the Vigilante? I hade to do multiple attempts because he was actually *beating* me.

I'm HELLA late, but I just gotta say, I really don't think The Vigilante gets enough credit as a boss. A lot of people just refer to him as "a cheese slime with a cowboy hat." But that's just it! It's the very thing that games have been doing for bosses since the very beginning! Making bosses just stronger versions of regular enemies! Now, of course, in other games, this was usually done because boss designs were always a little lacking, because...well...they had to be, due to their limited technology at the time. But in Pizza Tower?? I believe The Vigilante exists to show the POTENTIAL each enemy has! Think about it! The cheese slimes are by far the weakest enemies in the entire game, literally unable to attack you. Thus, making a boss an enhanced cheese slime, not only shows how each enemy can vary from eachother in such intense ways, but it ALSO shows what each enemy could be at their fullest potential! Its pretty beautiful, honestly, and it makes you wonder, if an ordinary cheese slime has the potential to become a boss, surely, you could become one too!


Or i might just be overthinking it. Yeah that's probably it.

I love how cheeseslimes are like the most helpless and weak enemies in the entire game, but vigilante is absolutely devastating and can tank over 100 bullets lol.

When I first heard this song before playing the game I thought it was alright but fighting against the Vigilante changed that

You’re so used to seeing these cheese slimes as total push overs throughout the game so seeing one that can not just hold his own but have a badass theme to accompany him just elevates it further

Can't argue further. Might not be the best boss in this game, but ABSOLUTELY the best track in the whole game. Every time I hear it, I can't help but think about the Old West, rolling through the mountainous countryside

That bell pepper kicked my ass, but this guy didn't take too many tries. Got there mainly by mashing fire as hard as I could and staying aggressive which can strip a lot of his health before he can do much, especially near the start of the second phase. He starts just spamming one attack which I can deal with in a tunnelvision manner while mashing X.
Didn't even know about the charge shot first time I beat him!
My strat is a bit less good at avoiding damage altogether past the first four or so hitpoints. I'll live with my B rank for now.

I wish you could avoid using the gun and just beat up Vigilante as an optional difficulty choice similar to the meta knight fights

This sounds like something from Bleed 2, and that's pretty high praise considering that has one of the best video game soundtracks of all time.
