I’ve noticed that it seems that people who have British or Australian, etc accents can do US accents way easier that people from the US can do British or Australian, etc accents...very interesting!!!

My late mother would do this too. It's called code-switching. She would speak with her American Accent whenever she was at work or out and about with her American friends but when she's at home or with her Caribbean friends she would talk in her natural dialect. My father never code-switch. He always stayed in his natural accent.

You can go back to Lucy Lawless in Xena. A New Zealander with an American accent. Actually, quite a few of the guest stars on that show used accents other than their natural ones.

Best fake Oklahoma accent I've ever heard is Cary Elwes in "Twister." Sounded exactly like a guy I once worked with for a construction company out of Tuttle, OK. Never would have imagined this was an Englishman.
