Unreal Engine Files are Huge! For Mac Users, It is taking So much space! This video will guide you through 3 Simple Steps to move all Downloaded Unreal Engine Folders to an external Disk/SSD without RE-DOWNLOADING! Method shall be the same for Windows User.

Worked for me. Key is to let it run for a bit after hitting the "Install" button. Wait for it to show an actual percentage of installing (after "Please wait" and "Initializing"), then pause, then hit the "x" to cancel install, then delete new folder, then rename back old folder (remove the _), then click "Install" again and it should go into "Verifying" of your old folder.
This helped me migrate 4.27.2, 5.0.3 and 5.1.1 to a new drive without having to re-download them.

Didnt work. Button stays grey. Even after verifying the unreal engine text was on the button was missing.
EDIT: It worked, wait for "Initializing" after pressing install and only then press Pause and delete+rename folder. Thanks!

In my case I moved the UE5 folder around because I was out of storage and it started crashing as I opened a project even an empty one, so I thought maybe some files got corrupted and I might have to redownload the whole program so doing it this way, it checked all the files that were there and downloading what might have got corrupted and it is working I think as it is downloading 8.4 GB of files, which I think should resolve the issue and it should work fine after that. I hope this might help someone save some time.
