I’m doing $100 a month in SCHD $100 a month in VTI and $100 a month in QQQM I will come back and look at this in 10 to 12 years Keep it simple. Keep it consistent.

My wife and I started seriously investing only 15 years ago after we paid off our house. For the last 10 years of those 15, we have put in the max allowed in our 401K's. Before the latest drop in the market we were up to $750K. Now we are down to about $675K. Having a paid for home allows you to really accelerate your savings rate. The earlier you begin to SERIOUSLY save in your 401K, the quicker you will be able to live off of dividends.

VYM has been great for me for over 2 years now. I also buy SPYD and SPLG to round out my S&P. SCHD is a no brainer for Dow.

Wow, I'm blown away by this information! It's amazing to hear that you may have found an investment option that could potentially surpass the S&P 500. As a fellow investor, I can definitely appreciate your passion for making investing simple and personalized. The combination of the Vanguard dividend and growth ETFs sounds like a great strategy for stability and potential growth. I can't wait to see how it performs over time and how it could potentially provide passive income through dividends. Thank you for sharing your research and insights, I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for more of your videos!

I appreciate your videos. Don't change because someone is having a bad day and decided to be rude.

My personal strategy is three fund portfolio strategy, except much like you mention in this video I don't believe in VOO, SPY or IVV to get the kind of growth and low volatility I'm looking for. Foundational to me is best of both, delivering consistent growth and protecting against down turns in prices/recession. That to me is VTI. As well as high growth in VUG, SCHG, and QQQM. and high yield dividends and medium growth in SCHD and VYM. Neither of these are doing bad lately and of course SCHD is having difficulty back up but has a good track record. I think you mentioned these in the video in the "new three fund portfolio" video.

1. Vti
2. Vym
3. Bnd
4. Jepi
5. Jepq
6. Pffd
7. Schd
I find the above to be a well diversified with growth, yield, generally stable.
5.

I have three funds I invest in SCHD ... SCHG .... SWPPX . This is a solid lineup. Not going to be #1 but I will do better than 90 present of the money managers. Reinvest Div and see where you are in 20.

I sometimes wonder how successful investors manage to accumulate enormous wealth from their investment endeavours because I am an avid investor. I currently have equity from a recent house sale that exceeds $545K, but I'm not sure what to do with my money next. Is now the right moment to buy stocks, or should I wait for a better opportunity?

I agree. Only thing is: VOO has those too stocks at a decent % based each. Like AAPL is 6-7% of VOO. Not a huge difference

ive sorta been doing my own little 4 fund plan though i like this one as vug was one i considered in the past.
nowadays, i have an auto investment split between schd, divo, jepi, and sptm. the heavy lifting regarding growth is sptm though maybe eventually a growth fund, but i wanted to start with an index instead while focusing on growing a passive income just large enough to give me some personal relief incase of job loss or other income decreases. hoping to spend any extra funds outside of my passive investing on growing the div checks first before moving into heavier growth.

You are AMAZING!!! Just started exploring ETFs and your were videos have given me so much information to process and take a call confidently 🙈😌
I am thinking VOO(50%), SCHD(25%) and SCHG(25%) after having some emergency funds 30k USD! Gonna invest monthly into the 3ETFs all I have after my wants and needs 🙏

I'd prefer SCHD & SCHG combo. However, the Vanguard combo has more trade volume.

VOO is basically the same as VUG + VYM together, except VOO is cheaper.
