Looking for a European ETF like SCHD?

So you’re living in Europe and want to invest in SCHD? Unfortunately, due to the UCITS ETF rules EU citizens can't invest in USA ETFs.

However, in this video I have prepared 2 EU UCITS ETFs that when combined can substitute SCHD and even potentially give you better results.

What do you think about this alternative to SCHD?

I have a 3 fund portfolio but I have finally decided to invest in ETFs, alongside. I’m looking at SCHD, VUG, VOO, XLK or SCHG.

I was reasearching that topic before I saw you video and came up with those exact same ETFs! I think this combination of good growth and dividend yield is the best

Actually if you ‘really’ want SCHD in Europe, you can still buy it via options.

Disadvantage of course is that you need to buy 100 at a time.

Hey Ognyan,

Could you do a review of JEPG, and maybe some other covered call income etfs?

Thank for all the great content!

Great thanks a lot! I think you find the perfect solution ! 50% on each it's a great idea! If we don't want dividend now we can choose the acculative instead of the distribution in order to better tax management. Keep up the good work ✌️

Nice, good vid, thanks! Note that Fidelity has FUSA - the accumulating ETF equivalent. Relevant to those who may wish to save on taxes, depending on their situation.

I really like this ETF portfolio! Good approach and very well presented. My only issue is that VDIV seems to be domiciled in Netherlands, so it probably cuts withholding tax from the dividends. Any thoughts about this?

If you wanted an accumulative version of this Frankestein what would it be? FUSD has an accumulative version FUSA, but with what would you combine it? My idea is not paying taxes and accumulating it all there (in 20-25 years I'd start selling parts of the portfolio instead, when I need it for my retirement), and I want these kind of stocks because they're less volatile.

Great video. First time viewer and already a subscriber.

What do you think about DGRA? How does it compare to the FrankenETF except it's accumulating?

Питам за един прЕател :)

Is there an accumulating version of FUSD?

The main reason why all those UTICS alternatives suck ass (at least in my country - Czech Republic) is the double taxation. The dividend itself is taxed 15% and then you have to tax dividend income from Ireland and that is next 30%.

What do you think about SPYD? It work also well in combination with TDIV and has also a good dividend yield. I was thinking of combination between VUSA (50%) + TDIV 25% + SPYD 25%. What do you think?

Which option is better for buying? The one in USD or EUR?

Was wondering if the "distributing" nature of these ETFs eats up significant amounts of their returns? I live in the NL where dividends are taxed at 15%, so I'm considering the accumulative version of the Fidelity US Quality Income ETF (which is FUSU), but am hesitant since the fund size is quite low (only 42M). What would you suggest / what are your thoughts?
