Watching this video from my M4 iMac, love it! I've always preferred a desktop where I don't have the inconveniences of sourcing a good alternative monitor, keyboard etc.

Got mine on this Thursday along with an13inch iPad air. Running Procreate and Adobe Fresco on the iPad. running Corel painter with a Wacom tablet. ENJOYING free hand PAINTING. Have not been a Mac since I retired in 2008 as a graphic and prepress artist. mine is silver, too. have Crucial X9 2TB Portable SSD on both. IT IS A HAPPY LEARNING CURVE.

Purchased and received the M4 with 24gb Ram and 512Gb SSD and love it, I use Sandisk G40 4Tb SSD External, I also decided on the Silver one, so works perfect for me !

Thanks for another honest review Kyle, I've always been attracted to the iMacs. Since I had all the peripherals I opted for the base M4 Mac mini, otherwise I'd have that iMac on my desk right now.

great review! yeah folks don't factor into account when comparing the iMac to the Mac mini that with the iMac you get a screen and a minimalistic design. Glad you compared both 'systems'. Also buying a 3rd party screen to compare the iMac with Mac mini fir the sake of keeping costs similar is not the same, you have an inferior monitor. For sure the build quality of apple is second to none, this is one of the reasons I buy an apple product, but the screen is as vital to me. For the most part, its a machine you will be staring at 99% of the time, the screen, color and all that stuff needs to be spot on! I think 24" (23.5" in reality for the iMac) is plenty of real estate for the average user, its not too big that it takes up too much space. Love all the colors but I stick with silver, I think it makes your apple products look professional and as you say a natural color. Nano texture does take the glare out but man that clarity goes down!! I will take the glare anytime over less clarity. I was at the apple store today and noticed the difference in person, save your $$ if glare for you is bearable.waited for this and bought one with 10core gpu/cpu, 512GB SSD to get the upgraded version of the iMac with 4 ports, built in ethane port in the power brick etc, This is an investment and I plan to keep it for 5yrs +. A little upgrade goes a long way. Apple is smart, their base models always leave you with something missing, its a sales pitch to get you in with the low price and upgrade.

I've been using my Orange iMac M4 that I configured with 32 GB RAM and a 1 TB hard drive for the past month. I am very happy with it! I upgraded from a mid-2017 build iMac Retina 4K with 16 GB RAM and 1 TB Fusion drive. I have a 5 TB external HD that I use for TimeMachine, that I also used with my previous system. The Migration Assistant process took about 4 hours. Now I need to upgrade my router from a 2017 3 GB Apple TimeCapsule, and my Arris G33 cable modem to devices that can handle the highest network speeds (3 GBs) in my area...I now have 945 Gbs download and 44 GBs upload. I wish Apple would come out with a current build TimeCapsule...buying one would be painless, and I know it would "just work!"

Been watching like 20 videos now about M4/M4 pro macs (mostly around the mini), this is the first time I hit the like button, as you give tons of detailed information in a short video, touching *all aspects* of these machines, (including monitor quality), and making quick examples of use-cases. All with stunning visuals, well… thanks! ☺️ got a better idea of where the M4s go compared to previous gen M3s (not the iMac, but I compared also minis and MBPs). 🎉

I worked on an iMac's from 2007, and after 2013 I always used 27". I was very afraid to go on 24", but after one year I understood that it is the best size for iMac's.
I cant understand one thing, why mac mini has an option for *M4 Pro* and iMac didn't!

I am still using my 2014 iMac retina because I spent so much on the display. I would really like the components to be separate to be able to upgrade. Integrated is just good for non-technical people that can't handle the cables or don't care about performance or dont mind replacing everything when apple decides that your machine is obsolete.

I’m not a big fan of the peripherals so for me it wouldn’t make sense. But if you like the Apple peripherals, it’s not a bad deal 😊

Also, I’d go for the green personally.
