I have a 15 inch, 32 GB memory, 1 TB. I don’t need the fan and screen like the 14 inch macbook pro. I’m upgrading from M1 2020 13-inch, 8 GB, 250 GB. In 5 years i had no problems, only a couple of months ago my battery charges max 78%. For a 5 year old laptop, this is the most stable laptop i’ve ever owned. I used to be a macbook pro girlie, but i’m never leaving the macbook air again. Traveling is such an amazing experience with my 13 inch, the 15 inch is also pretty light

My biggest problem is the 60hz refresh rate, I have a bad visual stigmatism so lower refresh rates are really awkward for my vision

while i’m not a defendant of 60hz, i think what a lot of people miss when they say that the macbook air’s display is worse is the color accuracy.

the lcd screens on apple devices are some of the most, if not the most, color accurate lcd’s on the market, even more so than some oleds. whenever i use a macbook, i don’t have to think about how the colors on the display may not be accurate and then compensate for that.

for me at least, a color accurate display is so much more useful than 120hz over 60hz will ever be.

I'm a long time Windows and Linux user that recently decided to try the MacBook Air. I absolutely love everything about it. Except the OS. I hate the OS so much that after 2 weeks I returned it.

I don't see people with even an M1 Air flocking to buy this. An older Intel MB Pro or Air, which one is considering to upgrade, sure; makes sense. But most people on an M1 Air, like my partner, for instance, are quite comfy with their aging beast.

I had a 15" M3 Air on order – cancelled it – bought a 14" M3 Pro instead. Lots of useful small improvements but after seeing the screens side-by-side it was the Mini-LED colours that swung it. I use mine for graphic design so that's how I justified the xtra £££ to myself...

Traded in my 2018 MacBook Air for this and it's a really noticeable upgrade. Happy with it so far! Also the fact that a MacBook Air can play Death Stranding at 60fps isn't bad at all.
