I thing Winona would have a Swellow instead of Altaria. Fighting a dragon type in the third gym might be a bit much. But we have hade brutal gyms at #3(Whitney, Watson, Fantina, Kabu...)

Actually, now that I think about it, Game Freak has a tendency to kick it up at Gym #3. Altria works perfectly
