Sweet! I'm a Retired Sailor and used to use a Spike quite often. I didn't find one I liked until after I retired from the Navy, French forged and boy is it sweet.

Love how you used the 3d printer to create a blank for the lathe. Very practical and something I would love to do as well. Sadly I don’t have a lathe 😢

Just ordered a Marlin spike, fish bone pack, and a clip. Hope you decide to ship the spike out with one of these bad boys

If you print them with the bottom square, drilling the hole for the shot cord through the cap will be easier to perform, and to make center, especially if you are going to turn it on the lathe anyway

Why not just 3D print to shape instead of machining it

My grandpa used to carry one of these when I was a kid. I wish I had it. Wonder what happened to it. 🤔

You could print them with the inset for the tip. These look cool though. Nice work!

They used todo something similar years ago with a cork and leather sheath.
