Team TaylorMade's Rory McIlroy, one of the best drivers of the golf ball of all time, recently made some equipment changes. This offseason he was looking to go from a 44-inch shaft to 45-inch, and was able to do so because of the forgiving shape of #Qi10Driver that kept a tight dispersion. Now that combo is paying off. He leads the Tour in Strokes Gained: Off-the-Tee, is sixth in driving distance and has hit 65% of fairways.

So how did you combat the swing weight 1 inch ads quite a bit of swing weight? Did they make a lighter head for you? Is there lighter has even for 46 inches what are the options that we don’t know about?

Worth noting 45” driver is still 3/4” shorter than what Taylormade sells on the shelf. Please get fit properly and ask fitter about shorter options if you can find center of face regularly
