Now launching in the U.K. this all electric family SUV from BYD (Build Your Dreams) offers a range of around 260 miles with a starting price of around £36K this quirky EV has a lot going for it.

I test drove one of these the other week. It's a solid well spec'd car with a slightly mad interior but it's too expensive in the UK. This car sells for £10K less in Australia / NZ. As such I will be looking for a used Kona 64kW instead.

I had a test drive at the show and thought it was a good drive. It'll certainly shift when you want to. The interior felt busy, but it was light and roomy.

The BYD was definitely one of the more interesring of the manufacturers attending Fully.Charged North. I spemt more time on their stand than any of the others. The rotating screen is a bit of a gimmic but ktherwise the interior was impressive as is their blade battery technology.
It will ve imteresting to see what there other car that was on dusplay will cost as it could put BYD into the sane market space as MG. The European manufacturers could well be cought with their pants down if they are not careful bevause now that yhe chimese are coming with an established range of home grown products. This model is just the tip of the iceberg.

I had a nosey around one at SMMT last week. I like the exterior design, the interior is nice but madly busy, could tone it back a bit.

Well ive watched rhis 2x over & looking at that interior has it been designed by someone on hallucinogenic drugs 🤔🤔🤔🤔😂😂😂bloody different that's for sure planet auto 🚘 😉
