BJJ has the worst coaches in the world. World class competitors Injuring students instead of letting submissions go.

People commenting he shoulda tapped. Obviously he should have tapped, no one is debating that. But it's also your job to protect your training partner when youre rolling. It's not a competition, there shouldnt be any submission attempts that even get close to breaking something. If youre rolling with someone who never taps, just stop rolling with them and tell em why you're stopping, you dont gotta teach em a lesson by breaking something.

Who gives af if he didn’t tap, it’s not a competition just let it go.

He did say tap right at the end but that was stupid.
It's also stupid to go through with a submission like that with a friend just rolling for fun.

Pretty funny that guys from B Team even say Ethan and Nicky Rod are the biggest spazzes at the high levels so it seems like to me, they aren't good coaches or training partners for others. You should absolutely know when to let go of any sub you're attempting when you're an elite level black belt like Ethan. Other guy couldn't see what was going on in reverse ashi and if there is no pain first, you can't know when to tap before it breaks. You have to trust your black belt training partner and supposed coach to let tf go. No wonder they're the B Team. 😂

BJJ has really the worst coaches of all Martial Arts...
Imagine breaking you students foot instead of letting go...terrible

If your opponent doesn’t tap in training you should stop the sub

Exact same thing happened to me with the toe hold. Great training partner, he put it on really slow, but I just felt zero pain. I was moving into mount but he still had the hold. Anyway, now I always tap even if there's no pain 😂

It can be true simultaneously that dude should have tapped but also that Ethan shouldn’t have followed through. They’re both at fault here imo
