Formal Greetings:
If you’re looking for a more formal greeting, there are a few options depending on the time of day. In the morning, you can say “Доброго ранку,” which means good morning.
For the afternoon, use “Добрий день,” and for the evening, use “Добрий вечір.” These are suitable for both formal and informal situations.
Ways to Say Goodbye:
For a casual way to say goodbye in Ukrainian, use “Бувай.” For more formal situations, use “До побачення“, which means “until we meet again.” Another option is “До зустрічі“, which translates to “till the meeting.”
Thank You:
Finally, it’s essential to know how to say thank you in Ukrainian, which is “Дякую!” This is a universal word that you can use in any situation to express gratitude.
In conclusion, learning these basic Ukrainian greetings and expressions will help you connect with Ukrainian speakers and show your appreciation.

I have always loved Eastern European Poets now I find at 49 no less I am living with a lovely young man from Ukraine who is just 18! In supported housing! He has come from a war zone! I managed due to my skills to organise his English Tuition but he has things he will not tell me and blank spots! I love him- I gave him two gifts but I had to spell his name! I wanted to help him feel I love his language as much as he might need at this stage to learn mine, English in London! What he has seen I do not like to imagine. He has trauma. I try to help him when other people dismiss him. He is my friend so this has been a fabulous tool and I am going to make him grin with my bad attempts at pronunciation if it kills me! ❤️

Watching this at 2am in Gatwick airport waiting for a 3am flight to Kiev... So tired, I don't know if this is a dream or real ... Almost hypnotic presentation. Very useful
