What If Obi Wan Saved Dooku From Anakin Skywalker

Count Dooku was killed in the Invisible Hand by Anakin Skywalker when Palpatine told him to kill Dooku. What would change if Obi Wan saved Dooku from his execution? Would Dooku tell the Jedi about Sidious or would he continue to loath them? Would Sidious make a backup plan?

As the invisible hand crashed through the atmosphere of coruscant, Obi-wan took has hands away from the controls of the falling ship, he placed his arms above his head and looked towards the restrained Count Dooku.
In a witty tone he exclaimed: "Look, Dooku!!! No hands!"

I do believe the council would be pissed if they knew about Palpatine dawging Anakin to kill Dooku when he didn't want to...in a scenario he didn't do it and its reported by Obi-Wan...

I actually think Dooku could have been redeemed in this scenario because seeing the republic be changed is what he always wanted

Obi-wan isn't dumb. Based on his prior knowledge when Dooku told him a Sith lord was controlling the senate and seeing this manipulation first hand, I think he'd assess the situation pretty quickly. He'd very likely be reinforced by a nod of confirmation from Dooku. But from that point, who knows where that would have went!

I loved the conversation between Anakin and Obi-Wan near the end, after Palpatine was already defeated. I haven’t really seen too many what ifs allow characters the breathing room to express their feelings after Palpatine’s death.

I'm glad you only had Windu show up to help Obi-Wan and Anakin rather than Yoda. The fight would have become one-sided if Yoda was there and completely broken and anti-climactic if BOTH Windu and Yoda came at the same time. This made for a better ending than Palpatine just being taken out easily. His contingency plan with Order 18 was also a brilliant storytelling move on your part!

But it's nice that the galaxy and Anakin didn't fall to darkness. I loved that you included the High Republic and your OC Desha Numa.
It's also funny that Maul became Jedi. Bo Katan must've really loved it 😀

This one probably has the best ending in terms of consequences for the war, but still being overall a happy ending.

I know that Palpatine was a Sith who wouldn't give up even an ounce of power for anything but it's interesting to assume that the war would end just because Dooku and Grievous were neutralized (both here and in the film). I mean the CIS Senate and Council was still active so what prevented them from voting a new head of state and continue the war? Sure, Dooku was behind the separatist movement but the CIS wasn't some gang but an ideology which tend to outlive their creators.
