CHROMECAST HD vs 4K - Interesting Results

The latest Chromecast HD with Google TV has been released and is cheaper than the 4K version. But is there much of a difference, should you save your money, or is the 4K version just all round better. Here is a general comparison between the Chromecast HD & Chromecast 4K.

This chrome cast is my first I have just gotten the HD model I had the firestick 4K. From 2018 it went all black. But. I don’t notice a lot of difference I have a 4K Hisense smart tv. But limited apps but for what I need it will do for the time being. The one big. Bonus is the added tv controls I do like.
All in all it is a solid device

I bought one for my bedroom (it replaced the 4k firestick I had for a while), because I have an older TV, I have chromecast and google tv 4k in the living room, and I'm happy

I've got the HD one I like it..the only snag is storage. Had to buy an Anker with Power support to Add external storage. Hate all the ADs pasted over the menus as you do but can put a custom UI on it.

Planning to buy just the 4th gen HD. but have learned from some reviewers in my country that the UI of HD is a bit different than the 4k. so now I settled for 4k. you have to activate vpn something for HD so the UI would be the same with 4k.

Got both ..the 4k and hd ..I can't see much of a difference between them..if you're on a budget the hd one is a great Device in my opinion

If my TV "upscales" to 4k is there point paying the extra between them both? I got the HD when in sale and think it's fab & was waiting for the 4k to drop price somewhere (to move the HD upstairs) but now wondering if there's point paying the extra?

Can it take an external storage device with a hub like the older one? I've also got the ultra for my 4ktv and it doesn't. 😢

Infact HD version is more sluggish and laggy. I owned both versions, HD is slower with the same content & apps. I returned the HD and bought another 4k version even though my 2nd tv is only 1080p.

Aiai my favourite Brit, how you're doing mate? Awesome vid as always! No don't use any them and don't think their beating my firestick 3rd gen in any way. Maybe an option for my son as a second device but it would be have to be much, much cheaper. I just don't Google, avoid it like the plague..only really use YouTube. Reason is simple, they don't care about privacy at all.
