The old Chromecast also supported ethernet. I even managed to power it with POE because I had no USB near my HDMI Matrix.

I've been using mine daily for a month, and I love it. The remote can switch the tv's hdmi channel, handle the volume, and the voice recognition (on the remote itself) accross all the connected streaming platforms is spotless. This might be my best purchase of the year, and it's exactly what I was hoping for, a unified streaming device on my tv.

Considering Chromecasts are the only good option for streaming Oculus Quests, I would have really appreciated if you tested the casting performance on the new Google TV Chromecast, to see if it's higher hardware gives better picture quality and response rate. Especially since the third rev Chromecast is over 2 years old now and couldn't handle 4K, that extra hardware likely makes a difference.
