Price and competition. For what you pay for one of these, a lot of other cars enter the picture that either perform the same, better, or offer more utility. BMW's own M5 CS offers similar performance in a very nice looking 4 door.

What would you pick? BMW M8 or a Taycan GTS? I drove and like both. M8 wins in interior looks, GTS wins in exterior looks

competitors I’d get is a Mercedes AMG E wagon or Audi RS6/RS7. Those would be the only fully capable, functional, and practical European competitors.
