Great video by LLA. Mai apna Experience share karna chahunga jaha mujhe 5 lakh ka claim reject kar diya jata agar mai LLA ka video dekh ke aware nhi hota.

15 march ko mere pita ji hospital me admit hue, Niva Bupa ka insurance tha maine TPA desk me diya processing karne ke baad cashless approval aagyi. Treatment chalu hua, initially laga 2-3 din me discharge de denge. Situation aur critical hone laga har roz bill amount 70 K aane laga, Ab mere pass health insurance hone baad bhi hospital mere family ko cash deposit karne ko bol rahi thi. Yaha pe mai samaj gaya ye log humlog se paise lena chahte aur reimbursement karne ko bolenge. Maine bhi TPA me bol diya ki NIVA Bupa agar cashless approve kiya h to paise kis baat ke aur Niva Bupa agar reject kar diya h to mujhe letter do baad me dekhta hu.

Ese karte karte 04th April ko father ka death ho jata h.

Niva Bupa ka base plan bahut pehle comsume hogya tha maine hospital ko baar baar bola tha top-up policy se approval maango. Hospital ne ignore karte rahe. Jis din death hua usdin hospital ne topup ke liye approval manga Niva Bupa se. Niva Bupa without any reason reject kar diya. Maine dekha mere email pe do claim no aaye the. To duplicacy ke ho sakta h ek reject kiya ho. Abhi bhi ek claim ka approval nhi aaya tha. Bahut baar phone kiya unke consumer care me koi thik idea nhi de pa raha tha. Hospital to reject claim aane ke baad shuru hogya ki aapka reject hogya h claim. Maine unko kaha Maine payment kardiya uske baad approval aagya to mere paise refund honge, hospital se kaha nhi refund nhi honge humlog niva Bupa ko mail kar denge ki ye bill close hogya h. Main subah 8 se dopahar ke 2 baje tak wait kiya. Last me 5 lakh rupees payment kar di. Discharge leke formality karke ambulance me nikal gya. 3 baje ke karib Ek message aaya mobile me ki 3.5 lakh ka approval hogya h. Us samay mai kuch nhi kar sakta tha. Sab kriya karm ho jaane ke baad 8 April ko maine reimbursement ke liye file kiya. Reimbursement me NiVa Bupa bol rahi h humne to cashless de diye h aapko 3.5 lakh Maine kaha Maine payment kiya h 5 lakh. To niva Bupa boli hospital se aap wo 3.5 lakh ka claim cancellation letter le aao 20 din ke andar nhito reimbursement reject ho jayega. Hospital mere cancellation letter nhi dena chahti thi. Maybe wolog dono side se paise kamana chahte the. Ye mai kolkata ka bara superspeciality hospital ka baat kar raha hu.

Har baar wo log bolte kal dunga parso dunga. Mai telephone pe sab record karta raha. Maine mail kiya koi reply nhi diya. Mail me niva Bupa ke taraf se cancellation letter maanga wo bhi bataya. Maine hard copy me bhi letter likha with all supporting documents. Koi fayda nhi. 24 April hogyi maine socha ab consumer forum jaake cheating ka case karna parega. Lekin uske pehle grievance cell me mail kiya with all proof. Grievance cell ka hill gya ki itne saare communication ka koi reply nhi diya gaya h udhar se mujhe phone aaya usi din mere cancellation letter mila.

Maine niva Bupa ko diya cancellation letter 24 April ko mera paisa wolog 15 may ko diya. Uske baad Niva Bupa ka torture chalu hua. Jo disease mere pita ji ko nhi tha wo sab leke mere locality me ulta sidha bolna shuru kiya mere se long statement liya sabke baare me. Jab ki investigation base policy ka ekbaar hogya tha hospital me hi. Phirse dobara topup policy ke liye same investigation kar rahe the. Phir ek din wolog ne hadd paar kardi. Mere ghar ke pass aake ulta sidha bol rahe the. Maine kaha abhi maarunga tere bahut bardast kiya hu. Pita ji ke maarne ke baad tera bakwas nhi sununga. Jis din usko dhamki diya uske 5-7 din baad final settlement letter de diya. Bahut behuda investigation karti h niva Bupa premium lete samay le leti h, claim pass karne me inki amma marti h. Inka investigation 25 din chala.

Last me 15 june ko mereko final settlement letter mila.

Bill mera 17 lakh ka hua tha hospital se 12 lakh base policy se aur 5 lakh topup se reimbursement karaya.

Thank to LLA insurance ke baare me itna aware tha tabhi 5 lakh ka reimbursement mila nhi to dusra koi aadmi hota to haar maan leta. Mai jaanta tha iske liye mujhe ladna parega. Ladne ke liye LLA se bahut inspiration mila.


Ye bhi batana jaruri h mere pass us samay 6 lakh Rs the including shares. Ghar me 5-6 lakh aur the. Baki sab paisa pitaji ke account me tha jiska koi ATM CARD nhi tha koi net banking nhi tha aur koi UPI nhi tha pura paisa atak gya tha. In fact account me koi nominee bhi nhi tha. Health insurance hone ke kaaran financial problem nhi aayi. Nhi to humlog bahut bure situation me fass jaate

Mandeep bhai you didn't mention the most important feature of insurance.
Please refer section 45 of insurance act. It clearly specifies that after 3 years of taking insurance or revival, no insurer can repudiate the death claim.
So if any insurer rejects your claims after 3 years of policy commencement, you just go to court and quote section 45.
But it is a usual practice with private insurers to reject the claim even after 3 years of policy commencement, ignoring the section 45 of insurance act(since many customer are not aware of this section and very few customer take legal action against insurers for rejecting claims)
While LIC straight forward pays the claim(whatever amount) if death has occurred after 3 years of policy commencement.
