Ahead of the US election, there have been two security breaches involving the former Republican president Donald Trump.

One of these happened in Pennsylvania in July when he was shot.

These incidents have sparked a whole new wave of disinformation and hate online - and in turn, have fed into the wider belief that anything can be staged or rigged - including elections.

The BBC's social media correspondent Marianna Spring visited Colorado, a US state which has become a hotbed for conspiracy theories, to investigate how people are being increasingly drawn in.

The impending election showdown between Harris and Trump is sure to make a significant impact. It's astonishing how it might influence our finances; nevertheless, the unpredictable polls highlight the importance of everyone casting their vote.

Not making up to a million before retirement is unfulfilled retirement.!! I’m 54 and my wife 50 we are both retired with over $7 million in net worth and no debts. Currently living smart and frugal with our money. No longer putting blames on FED for our misfortunes. Saving and investing lifestyle in the stock and forex market made it possible for us this early, even till now we earn weekly.

Totally nuts weird garbage, like the one about the assassination attempts being staged are one thing, but the trouble is what about the ones regarding the things we are really not allowed to hear or know of, and there ARE a few of those...

there could be conspiracies but it is not all about this world. so it may not be so important as it semms to be. when there is so much things left to do, it is not so important like before.

Not a mercenary of the inter-currency fund,
Not a novice and a servant of the Kiev occupied enemy,
Not a traitor's dirty face.
