I see a lot of viewers leaving this video prematurely, I'd love to know why.
Speed, length, etc ...??
Can you elaborate that, so I can make the next video better?

With all due respect, "no knowledge assumed" is a real stretch and 18 minutes to become a pro is a pipe dream. For someone who has no experience with DAWs there are multiple terms and processes that someone with that knowledge takes for granted. I have many years (almost 40) experience with software and hardware, desktop publishing, spreadsheets, Office, etc., and have been playing guitar and piano even longer, but the DAW is a completely different animal. I am new to your videos and like your style, but if there is a market for making instructional videos for artists who just want to learn to record a handful of their own tracks and mix them with some backing instruments, I would be right there watching intently. Almost every video I see about DAW (not just yours) seems to assume a knowledge base about music production in general that leaves a lot of us in the dark. So many buttons and options . . . :) Thank you for asking, I hope I didn't get too verbose.

Wish this video was up when I started with S1 about 8 months back. I always watch beginners videos even now because I always learn something I missed. Like the secondary tool and double clicking the timeline to draw an empty event..
I think beginners leave early because it's a lot of information to take in at once and it's best to learn one step at a time in practice. I know that if I had seen this vid as a total newbie I would've saved it in my Studio One playlist and kept going back to it as the info sunk in.

I compose classical music. It's not evident to me how to access the Presonus symphony or my EW orchestra library.
Drag and drop is supposed to work to import compositions, but here is what I have happening. I use Notion 6 and all my music files are Notion files or exported wav files. When I tried to drag Notion files into the new song workspace it won't allow it. If I go to the menu to import a file it excludes as available all the Notion files and only shows the WAv files. Is this not supposed to be seamless compatibility with Presonus own notation software? Further, where is Notion within Sphere, it's supposed to be available. 3rd my Bose headphones cut out and won't work the minute I open Studio One. I checked and my headphones are connected. It's not a midi device I have to connect to Studio One. Does Studio One need to recognize my headphones? This doesn't happen in Notion. How can I hear what I'm doing or compose when the software stops my headphones from working. My introductory experience with this software is no BAD I don't think I will ever be able to use the high quality EW orchestra libraries I purchased to improve the sound of my music. No manual exists. The learning center at Presonus is not really geared toward beginners or classical composers. The terminology may as well be Chinese for all the good it does me .

These are my immediate and future goals:

1. Import my existing compositions into Studio One
2. Create new versions of them with the EW platinum library
3. Be able to open the actual Notion files that show me my score so I can edit and take advantage of EW extensive articulations and create top notch versions of my works. WAV files are NOT capable of showing me my score (they are just sound files)
4. Begin creating new compositions by opening Notion in Studio One and choosing my EW library
5. Learn how to choose or view these libraries individual instruments for scoring purposes
6. Export or make recordings of my compositions with my EW instruments
7. Eventually learn how to mix to create balanced recordings
8. Eventually burn CDS of my music

If anybody out there can help me do this, it would be much appreciated. I've heard there is a download The Big Book of Studio One tips and tricks. I tried to search for this but can't find it.

I watched a video that showed the Presonus Orchestra and opening a Notion and making tweaks, well I can't even get this stuff to appear. This is not that intuitive for supposedly best in the industry software. When I opened Audacity. I was immediately able to drag my Notion files into the work area and split my symphony into separate movements and create new audio files. I did this in a very short time with a viewing of some basic short cut instructions and a short Youtube video. What's happening to me in Studio One is just blowing my mind with how unfriendly and baffling it is that it won't accept Presonus Notion file. I've put in tickets but it takes so long and so much back and forth that it may take a while before I get solutions.
