Thanks for taking the time to do this video. At timestamp 6:45 roughly you talk about the need to copy that entire folder to a new location. Since I just got a new PC, is this all that would need to be done to transfer things over? Just copy that folder to the new PC? Then that would take all my midi data with it? All my samples are in identical locations on the new PC.

Thank you for this! I am wondering why when I import an mp3 track in Studio one, the key changes... it got lower and slower? I figured out how to change the speed, but it's at least 3 keys lower than the original song. Can't figure it out!!! :(

Good morning Mr. Clark fantastic tutorial. Can you help me out with this, anytime I try to burn a cd on my Mac to play in a car it doesn't work. My laptop comes with cd player. Burn the cd, try to play it, it send me back to studio one. I really need your help

I still work on studio One 2 is everything basically the same as far as controls and all.. I know the newer ones will have updated features but as far as layout is everything basically the same?

Spent the last two days trying to get around this DAW after being a long time Garageband user and have used Logic Express in the past. Studio one to me is a dogs dinner of a DAW its like going from a BMW to a Mini. I've just purchase the faderport io station which is great hence why downloaded the free Studio one artist.Though looks like I'm going have to upgrade to Logic to get the best benefit out of it. Whats gives with having to drag instruments on to tracks. why can't you preview them same with Loops no preview. Wheres the Auto drummer? I feel sorry for Windows users if this what they have to put up with. Studio one does not deserve space on my hard drive!

Hi Dexxter, thank you making this video directed towards the "pathetic beginner" like me! 😁 It was outstanding. I've had Studio One 4 Artist (along with an Audiobox USB 96 interface) for a long time, but I haven't used it because the process of recording seemed daunting since I have no experience with using a DAW and the information I've managed to find didn't fully clarify the process. I watched the "basic concepts" series of videos on the Presonus website, but they did not relate basic knowledge (in my beginner opinion). The host of the videos was very knowledgeable, but it seemed like he assumed the people watching had at least some DAW experience as he skipped relating any of the basic functions and he went very quickly through the processes he reviewed. You have a new subscriber and I'm going to check out the recording course I saw mentioned on your YouTube channel.

Why have you missed out how to record a track? That's very odd. How do you call this from the beginning, and completely skirt around how to get a sound onto a track?
