The verdict is in: People don't like DEI being forced on them in media that should be for entertainment and inspiration. If there's a word that means the opposite of inspiration, this new Rings of Power exemplifies it. They're doing the same thing Disney is doing with Star Wars, and it WON'T WORK.

Rings of power is not canon. It means about as much as any other fan fiction. Which is to say, nothing.

The issue with this show is that it never came from a place of creating something righteous, powerful and sincere like Peter Jackson's vision for his movies. This makes it almost impossible to even care for any of the characters as well.
