Time rift would be the perfect name for an expansion after wrath of the lich king . Expanding on what Chrome has done she could stop the cataclysm

Cataclysm killed it for me. They broke the old world. It was like coming back to your hometown only to find everything had changed and they'd knocked down grandmas house and put something else there. I stopped playing after a month, couldn't stand it. Came back for Classic 10 years later and it was just like it used to be! Probably leave again when they wreck the place soon.

Cataclysm would be awesome on fresh servers and with the slower vanilla-classic xp gains. Which would mean a player virtually has to complete each 1-60 zone to reach 60.

Cata Classic is almost certain to be released late 2023 or early 2024. I only hope they will retain Wrath Era servers when that happens.

A wow vanilla version the same way Old school runescape is would be dope. To be infinetly stuck in vanilla but releasing new content that never existed before only for vanilla throughout the time

for someone like me who just started playing wow few months ago and never actually experienced the past expansions, I would love to have a chance of playing a classic version of let's say, cataclysm or mists of pandaria, or whatever there is left. I lowkey kinda hate that there isn't really that much love for the new players, in terms of community and stuff. one of the main reasons I'd rather stick to questing and try to play solo as much as I possibly can.

A classic+ would likely be VERY profitable

However, there are 2 reasons I don’t think it will happen
1. Blizzard doesn’t just want to make money. They want to make the most money with the least amount of effort
That’s Cata classic, not classic plus
2. One of the things needed to make classic+ happen is, by your own admission, competence.
That’s something that Blizzard leadership has been lacking for some time now
Assuming the devs are competent, it’s gonna be hard for that to show when the decision makers lack it
Only so much of the devs competence can shine through when they’re given a choice between following orders from an incompetent person or losing their job

Despite the popular opinion, I loved Cata and MoP is still to this day my favorite expansion of all-time.

As someone who’s been playing private servers for the better part of a decade, I lost interest in Wrath pretty quickly and never looked back once I experienced 4.02-5.4.8.

I've been begging for Classic+ since this whole experiment began. SoM wasn't the same thing at all.

Cata was cool for about 2 months. To explore it, then it was over and I wanted the old ways again. I stayed to panda land. Then quit for good.
I loved classic and ;bc and wotlk I'd re up on wow if I could link up with Husgie, Molite, Goroc, and Rictorx from Chromaggus alliance side again. If yall read this, haha it's me Deitrick!

Why don't Blizzard re-release World of Warcraft Legion (as it was amazing) but with Classic WoW Graphics and with level cap 60, then just cut it there, stop posting WoW Expansions and WoW Patches and make it a fully settled-up game

I think you'll have a lot of newcomers wanting to play "MoP Classic" because of how much content got nuked with the final two patches that they could otherwise never see again. The better solution would be timewarpimg on the live servers so you could still complete that old content, but Blizzard keeps refusing to do so.

Im not saying cataclysm was the best expansion but the real reason why so many ppl quit playing wow was the year... year 2012 - when a lot of games went out like Guild Wars 2.... Also MOBA games like League of Legends started to getting hype. Also Battle royal games.... that means - Who would like to spend hours and hours to level up a character in wow to get some dopamine injection in end game content, when you can just jump in to the PUBG or League of Legends and have the same dopamine kick in less then minutes.... This is my oppinion why so many ppl quit wow. Not for the bad content, but for the time/joy investment

I really hope there will be Classic+, it is "now or never" ... And the nostalgia is STILL there. We just need incentive and promising experience.

I'm really interested what Blizzard is going to do. I rejoined retail WoW a week ago. The last expansion I played was Cata and back then I genuinely liked it. (I don't play Classic because I don't know where it's heading. Maybe someday.)
