In a cooking class I took they said "When using vintage crock pots cook on high for the first hour to more quickly bring foods up to the safe zone and then reduce to low for the remainder of the cook". It's how I do it now in the 'oldie'.

Miss Addy, congratulations on a truly imaginative and creative menu board! You did a wonderful job. I love watching the Vlogs you do with your Dad, you have so much fun!

Made the corned beef and cabbage yesterday, it was delicious!! I agree with Cris, I like a hard copy for my cookbooks. So YES to a cookbook, hard copy and a variety of recipes would be great! Have a blessed week

I love hard copy cookbooks. I collect cookbooks and have well over 300 now. Most definitely would love to see you guys make a cook-book. ( I am making one handwritten of your recipes, but would love to buy one of yours.)

I do love cookbooks and gooseberry patch.  I would be good either way because all your recipes are on line anyway. Having a cookbook would make them more quickly available, without having to run to computer all the time. Mikey I love the beard shorter. Thanks ya'll again for your time and sharing.

My mom would use sour cream about 1/2 cup 2 to 3 tbsp of vinegar and sugar to taste pour over cabbage mix well .

Hey Guys! I used your method of the corned beef and cabbage yesterday, with the potatoes, carrots and cabbage in the aluminum foil. I cannot say enough good things about how it turned out! I am now on a campaign to get everyone else in the family to use this method! I cooked everything on low for about 9 hours, and it was not overcooked, nor undercooked. it was splendid! Thank you, Thank you, Thank You!!!

Miracle Whip. Beard looks great! Yes to a cookbook...either way. Great job, Miss Addie!

Miracle Whip has less fat. mayo only used on potato salad at our house and sparingly when I was growing up. I like both so I'm just looking forward to your recipe. also I would love to see a cookbook I can hold in my hand and flip through the pages. I envision you on QVC In The Kitchen with David with a table full of full Crock-Pots selling your book on a Wednesday evening. lol . Miss Add did a great job on the art work. luv your family.

I like  hardcopy cookbooks because I like to add notes or comments after I've made a recipe. A book of slow cooker recipes would be a good start.
Mayo or Miracle Whip, depends on what I am making.
One thing I do not miss about my vintage slow cooker is the fact the crock was not removable and liners were not yet invented. Did not make cleanup easy.
Miss Addie did an awesome job on this week's menu board. Very creative. Look forward to your weekly chats.

Grew up eating Miracle Whip, however when I got married my husband convinced me to try mayo. Haven't yet figured out why my mom never ever used mayo because some foods just taste better using mayo. So I would say both depending on what I was using it for.

I've got the 1972 OG Model, Avocado Green, now discolored to beige, (her name is Ol' Beige lol) 2 different sized 1982 "grape" models, a 1983 "Crock-Ette", a "Little Dipper", and a big huge 7 quart 2009 guy. They all work absolutely perfectly... And what's crazy is the 51 year old crock pot probably cooks the very best of all the ones I have

I like the trimmed beard Mikey. I am a mayo person however I am open to miracle whip in some things. I would definitely try it in your Mom's cole slaw recipe. I love hard cover books but an e-book that allows downloading to print would be cool.
Miss Add you did a very good job presenting the weekly menu and awesome art work.

I think I'd prefer a hard copy cookbook, but spiral bound like gooseberry patch does some of theirs. I think you could combine both sites. Like a main dish in the crock and a side from goodness gracious to go with it? And vice versa?
