I think the song is a good choice because this is a toxic relationship between 2 very misguided characters. One child-like(Griffith) and the other a literal child (Charlotte). They both are escapists(and look for that in one another) but Charlotte on the other hand did nothing wrong whereas, Griffith did everything wrong. This edit is still gorgeous though. I can almost see their ambitions making them both perfect and imperfect for one another.

Idk why but i feel like him “doing it” with her was him basically “claiming” some one as “his” I think he new she was infatuated with him and after his friends/best friend ditched him he wanted someone to be “his” hence the neckless going “mine mine”
Basicly he fucked her to escape the reality everyone was leaving him and his mission was deteriorating he wanted something to actually be *his* .. but realized after that it still didn’t fill the void of his friends ditching him... he thought he could just fuck her and “cast his emotions into the fire” but... after claiming her as “his” he realized thats not how emotions work hence him at the side of the bed at the end trying to accept that this was a bad idea and its not gonna replace the friends he lost...

Griffith no man should be that beautiful. Some would argue he's even more beautiful than Charlotte. All parties including Guts were at a state of vulnerability. I'm not so sure Griffith knew the consequences or if he even cared when he was captured? I think he could have escaped. Charlotte was way too loud for them not to be caught, but how could she not?
