It's not just 4 minutes itto the future though if you caught the intimate scenes he saw of Tyme and him.
I thought this episode was so interesting already, I was very excited for it and I'm not dissapointed at all!
I love this cast already and I'm honestly so excited and so proud of Bible :)

Yes Jordie I do love the way they depict him time traveling by us realizing after it takes place. I wonder if it's going to be something he has control over eventually or its more like based on decision he makes and fate reverses it and also what is the catalyst for him being able to do this, cause Job's character Den seems to be doing a study on that could unravel this ability.

So, my take on Great's visions is that he's actually having 2 different types. Which, if I'm right, was probably a smart production choice as you pointed out to save on cgi lol. To me it seems like he's having 1) 4 minute slingshot visions that seem to be directly related to Greats immediate choices, sort of do-over options to give him a chance to make a better choice, and 2) more vague impressions of sound (like the gunshot in the elevator) or brief blurry flashes (like the images he saw of himself with Tyme) that are like cryptic signposts telling him something important is down the road but without telling him if it's bad or good or which road it's down. My thought is that the slingshot visions giving him a chance to make better choices are a way to set him on a path that's different than what he was on. A mystical character building, if you will. That in turn will either give him the moral fortitude to save the day when whatever the vague visions are foreshadowing actually happens, or make it hurt all the more when he loses everything, depending on how much the showrunners want to hurt us lol.

I didn't watch the trailer or anything, so I guess I can't really say any particular thing surprised me bc it's all a surprise to me. But I still didn't expect the first ep to focus so much on the world building. Bible had actually relatively little screentime, he didn't meet his love interest until the final seconds of the ep, and it seems they're setting up the brother to be almost or just as much a part of the plot as Great. It's a ballsy move considering Bible and the kp association is the biggest initial draw for the show, but I love that they're building a real world and story instead of just a vehicle for Bible to smolder at the camera (not that that's a bad thing, give me all the smolder plz).

TBH I did not really pay attention to the bodyguards in KP, even found them annoying most of the time. But now I feel very stupid for that bc holy shit is Bas good. Ngl having Fuaiz as his partner with *that* scene is a little uncomfy, bc he's only 18. They have a 9 year age difference, which is not a big deal at all between fully independent adults, but when one might not have even graduated hs yet or just graduated, it's....challenging. But like, that also seems to be the point of the dynamic of the characters. Tongkla is clearly younger and more naive than Korn, but not innocent by any means. They clearly adore each other and Tongkla even insists on working despite Korn basically offering to be his sugar daddy. But it's still off. Tongkla is clearly Korn's dirty little secret. There's a definite power imbalance.

I also love how we don't yet totally understand where Korn's morality is at yet. He seems upset but not completely surprised to find out where their money is really coming from. And his main frustration afterwards is still wanting to make his dad proud, though with the way he pauses before deciding what to tell Tonkla it's still possible that he just doesn't want to put him in danger with that info. He's not wracked with guilt and disgust or obviously plotting how to bring down the illegal gambling slave den. But he's shown enough compassion in his interactions w/ Great and Tongkla that it's not outside the realm of possibility that he could take action.

I feel that there were 2 bits of writing that were bad, 1) Korn and Great's conversation about Korn's mum. They have a good relationship I feel they would have had that conversation before. 2) the interviews with the patience, it felt to on the nose that woman turning up.
