Can Your Dreams Tell the Future?

Have you ever had a feeling that something big was going to happen, and then it does? A study by the American Psychological Association defines a precognitive dream as "a dream that seemingly includes knowledge about the future that cannot be inferred with by some prior knowledge.". In other words, they're visions of the future that do not draw on input from the five senses, memory or logic. How is this possible? Let’s learn the answer together.

Yes. The answer is just yes. I've had dreams about future events that happen where I get that de ja vu feeling during the actual real life event where I know exactly what is going to happen for a few seconds and this can be from a week or two in advance to months in advance which is nuts. Totally agree that us humans span across time and that we possibly re-connect with our past and future selves while we sleep.

I had a dream once while I was in rehab:

a girl who also attended the program came to me and said "Brian if you show people who you truly are, they will love you".

this was not something that was expected from that person in waking life, and I told my roommate about the incredibly vivid dream.

that day was her last day, and when we passed around notebooks, she wrote that exact sentence in mine.

freaked me out.

Several times in my life I’ve dreamed things that happen in the future. Mostly it’s random things like vacations, or conversations… but I also dreamed I’d hit 100k on YouTube while at my parents house, while sitting on my bed (when I had the dream I didn’t even do YouTube) I completely forgot about the dream until I hit 100k, and it happened just like I dreamt. Spooky stuff

I often dream about random places that I end up seeing in real life later. Houses, fields, buildings. Some dreams going as far back to when I was a kid. I usually chock it up to coincidence. Places do have a lot of different looks to them. But sometimes the details are just too perfect to shrug off.

I had a dream where a classmate of mine came back to school after being away for 3/4 months and the next day in my biology class she came back and what makes this stranger is that no one had this girls contact and so no one knew when or even if she was going to come back after being away from school for so long. What makes this even more weird is before this girl came into our biology lesson, I told my friend of this weird dream of her coming back because it felt so vivid and real and then like 15 minutes into the lesson the girl just came in and sat down and me my friend were so shocked. So yes I do believe these dreams are very real!

When I was 18 I was diagnosed with a special form of epilepsy. Ever since then I have had multiple "prophetic" dreams. The dreams always were negative events (I never dream about good things I only have nightmares but most don't really come true). The very traumatic ones became true several times. For example 7 years ago I was dreaming about catching my girlfriend with someone else in bed (The guy was very detailed, had tattoos and even his face was very detailed). In my dream I killed them both which shocked my so much that i woke up. I never was jealous nor was there any reason to be suspicious of any form of being cheated on. Two weeks later exactly this happens. I swear on my life It was THE EXACT SAME GUY. I'm a very impulsive person and certain things can make me snap and I enter a rage mode where I don't have any control about myself. Because I dreamed about this situation 2 weeks earlier It was like I got prepared for this moment .. so I wouldnt lose It and potentially hurt them. It really was like something was trying to save my life and their lives. Ever since then I had these kind of dreams multiple times ... they were less traumatic than the one with my ex but It still was the same pattern : "prepare him for something bad that is going to happen" ... its crazy because im a hardcore atheist and a science guy .. I never believed in any paranormal stuff .. but these dreams .. its not normal It is something supernatural. During my research I read that even hundreds of years ago people with epilepsiy were considered to be future tellers and even were asked about the outcome of wars ... its just crazy to think about ... do you think it might be that the brain is much stronger than we think? Is intelligence or brain diseases like my epilepsy like a enhancer for supernatural things?

When I was 8 years old I had a dream that my mother committed suicide. This was weird for multiple reasons including the fact that suicide wasn’t something I thought much of as a kid and that I had no idea what my mothers true mental health was. That morning I awoke to what I thought was my older sister laughing hysterically, I thought very little of it and tried to go back to sleep. As I laid there it became more and more apparent that it wasn’t laughter but crying and begging my mom to wake up. When I finally got up and went into the living room I saw my mom laying on the ground and my older sister knelt over her with 911 on the phone. My mom had indeed tried to kill herself that morning. I laid with her and begged her over and over again to not make my dream come true. Luckily my mom was able to have her stomach pumped in time and did not die that day but the fact that I dreamed about it, as an 8 year old with a basically normal life up to that point, has always stuck with me. That was 30 years ago and I don’t recall having a dream come true since then but I’m always at a loss to explain that day.

I previously had handmade a special kite. It’s white and parachute-shaped with a wood pentagonal frame. It didn’t fly, though. So it was just left out on the table for a couple months. But the night before last night, I had a dream that I was flying my kite, and it was really working. I looked up, and saw that the sails of my kite now had a gap that went all the way around, letting more air through than just the hole in the middle. So I did this modification, and went out to fly it. It just happened to be a windy day too, and when I flew it, it finally worked.

And this is why I’ve kept a dream journal for years now. So far it’s been paying off too.

" Have you ever had a dream that came true ? "
" Many. "
As a kid I would get these visions and could not explain nor understand anything . Gradually I started writing these visions and then I saw a lot connect .
There were times I said stuff based on these visions and it would come true, making my mom believe I predicted that .

Dreams are gateways to the future offering a sneak peak, a vision, leaving u pondering about the things you saw ( if you remember ) . Certain dreams stand out from others leaving you searching for answers .

Either or both of the following things happen after a precognitive dream : -
The event happens ...
You make the meaning out of it and avoid it altogether (only if it's bad) ...
It's a lesson for you ... Only you to act upon .

Dreams connect us with our consciousness on a deeper level .

My dream often gives me warnings. For example, I dreamt that I failed in my math test and my whole family is disappointed at me and was planning to stop me from going to school because they felt it was a waste of time. That dream made me study my math test even more and I asked for help from my math smart friend. Thankfully I passed.

To me, it’s part of a much grander theory. In my mind, our souls (or life force) are all made of the same thing, part of a bigger body. While sleeping, we can peak into that “larger form” and experience other peoples lives, our futures and our pasts, information from throughout our existence, and abstract things beyond our understanding. It works because our physical forms aren’t occupying our minds attention, making the ego dissolve for a short while. And dying is what allows us to be part of that larger life body or “at peace”.

It’s hard to understand that larger body and bring back the knowledge it gives… it’s disorienting because we’re used to experiencing through our physical senses and operating on a linear timeframe. That being said, it’s exciting to think about the possibility of accessing this energy space, learning how to navigate it and gaining a better understanding of ourselves from it.

Yes, I’ve been looking for a video like this. This happened to me and someone else I spoke too. We both saw things that happened the next day or next week in our dreams.
Both our dreams were way too detailed and perfect to be coincidental.
Im hardly the believing type but just hearing the other persons story on how they experienced the same thing kinda got me thinking.
Perhaps there is more than what seems possible. But we just found stuff like electricity and waves in the last 1k years of 300k being a species so it could be a while before we find out why this stuff happens.

in 2017 I was 24 and arguably in the best shape of my life. I ate healthy, exercised every day, ran a few marathons and could cycle close to 100 miles in a single trip. I started having a strange recurrent dream where I was back in my childhood home living with my parents, but I was an adult. In the dream, I would always be with my mother and we would always be returning by car to our quiet neighborhood in the late afternoon. I was always the passenger. It seemed like I was suffering from some sort of illness in the dream and I had already accepted my new reality. I was depressed and resigned to this new reality. I was a fragile and dependent shadow of my former self in this recurring dream. Fast forward six months and I started developing a characteristic "butterfly rash" on my face whenever I went out in the sun. Soon I was tired all the time and started having issues with my joints. I developed random sharp shooting in my chest and almost constant headaches. I was diagnosed with lupus shortly after. My life was never the same.

Although knowing, that we cannot actually see into the future, I think it surely is possible that the dream itself can spark motivation for achieving the dream.

The best story that I have with this happened one time, when I was 6-7 years old. I remembered only something like 10 seconds and it was me, waking up from a bed I had never seen and going to the bathroom in a house I didn't know. Then, 7 years later, I went on vacation to Brazil and, one night, I woke up to go to the bathroom and I remembered this dream which had finally taken on meaning before my eyes. What a beautiful way to conclude this story.

I have had two dreams that have come to pass however this one stands out the most. The dream is of a school play, my eyes locked with somone whom i never met, somewhere i'd never been, seated 3 rows from the front and slightly left of the centre. Suprisingly i could feel my emotions in the dream. Joyous emotions filled me to a point i didn't know was real.
I awoke from the dream upset that this impossible high was no longer attained.
A year passes and i am asked what school i would like to attend. I proceed to tell my father a school name which i did not think about, nor did i even belive was a real school, followed up by the fact that i was informed that no one i knew had heard of said school.
A little google later and we discover it was a new school that started that same year, i then proceeded to become part of the group that joined on its second year of students.

A few months later through friends, i met said person from the dream. my first interaction with her i barely say a word. I was in scrambles trying to piece just how this is even possible.
They say you only dream of people you have seen before so how? How is this anomoly in front of me right now?

A year passes, we became close and i bought tickets to see a school play. you guessed it. she was a part of the play, not only that, she was one of the leading roles.
The day comes, i enter the room and am seated.... third row from the front. slightly left of the centre. The scene played out exactly how i had dreamed it, from the visuals to the emotions.

I could not belive i dreamt of my partner before i had met her in such detail years before ever laying eyes on her or hearing her voice.

10 years later and she is still my everything, she always will <3
