Best DIY Channel on YouTube! I am about to install Pergo Outlast and found info on their website that the maximum run length should be 40 feet. But I have about 5 rows in the middle of my layout that have to run from the front door to the back of the house-- a distance of 52 feet! They are flanked by other rows that are only about 25 feet long. Am I totally screwed? Or will this work?

Wow! Pergo seems to come with a lot of restrictions. Maybe I'm misinterpreting this but Pergo seems to say you should not use boards less than 48 inches. However, I want to continue the same direction of my planks throughout my house which will mean going across a hallway, the short way, which is only 38 inches across. What kind of problems will I be in for if I continue with my plan? Thanks again for a great video

My pergo flooring was so tight I beat the hell out of it and it would pop apart . I mean hit it like I was trying to destroy it. I would swap pieces sometimes if one was way to difficult. i sent an hour on one piece. Some thirty min. Then some went together. I dont think I will use them again.

Tapping directly on the groove (or tongue) could damage the groove and make the joint unsecure.
