Hi Anthony. Thanks for the inspirational videos; they have helped me immensely in getting the best out of Luminar Neo and turning some mediocre images into something special. Keep up the great work. Wishing you and your family the very best for Christmas and New Year.

It's been a long time since I've picked up a camera and I used to have a lot of professional gear and I have received some technical training. I gave up trying to make a living from photography but I've missed shooting in general. I've recently purchased a Nikon P1000 and I've been wondering which editing software to purchase. I'm only familiar with Lr and Ps but as I say, it's been years and I've forgotten most things. I was leaning toward Luminar Neo thanks to your tutorials but now I'm back to being lost again. 😄

Great reviews as always, just wanted to mention that the Topaz offer you had shown us that you said was normally $199 USD but was discounted for Black Friday, the $199 USD was in fact the discounted price as the normal price was $456 USD. Thanks again for the review.

Thank you for this. A few options to consider.

Affinity Photo 2 is also running a 40% off for Black Friday which is a very affordable photo editor (with admittedly a bit of a learning curve)

I am interested in the DXO software. I was a NIK user quite a few years ago.

Great round-up and some tools were again new to me. Significant Affinity is dropping off the lists of must-haves… really think they dropped the ball on AI, although it’s still my preferred daily workhorse. And I’m still on v. 1!

Hi Anthony, I am an armature photographer with an old Canon 1100D camera that I have had from new. Even though I love this camera, the lenses are just ok and my images aren't the best. I bought Neo last year after watching your videos and love it, but I'm starting to think that many of my images need a specialist software to Catalogue my images so I can find them quickly and vastly improve them. I do like the looks of both both Topaz and DXO RAW. As my funds are limited, would it make more sense for me to buy just DXO RAW (if that's possible) for improving the RAW images and then use Neo (With extensions) to further develop my images? Or would Topax be the better overall image improver to start with? My pc is an Acer Aspire 1760 with 32 gig of RAM, i5 12400 6 core processor and shared graphics card, which I plan to upgrade when funds permit to a GeForce GTX 1650. Oh I plan to upgrade my monitor from a HD to a 4K one at a later date. Thanks for your input and have a blessed Christmas and awesome new year.

Thank you Anthony. Your videos are absolutely the best. I have been watching and learning from you and saying Thank You just doesn’t seem to cover my appreciation.
I will certainly upgrade my software after watching this video.
I would greatly benefit from your input on upgrading my computer. I was going to ask you what system to purchase pc or apple. I currently have a 5 year old HPS Lecter that keeps locking up on my files from a Sony A1 . I assume my files are so large my computer just can’t deal with the old computer. I use Luminar Neo, Topaz Ai and rarest Elements. Which system do you prefer and what internal things should I get for the computer. I have no preference of system. Thanh you. Ray

Thank you for the overview. I have been looking closely at the Topaz deal and have again gone back to my trial version of Topaz Photo AI to see the results compared to my DXO Pure Raw2. I find the differences minimal. I notice there is no comment regarding your Luminar Neo link. This I understand because Topaz tops it with all of the other apps. Still, as an enthusiastic amateur with a very limited budget who has few outlets to post photos anyway (only Instagram and Facebook), I think sticking with Pure Raw and Luminar Neo in combination is the way to go and save some pennys toward a camera upgrade. I may however consider an upgrade to Pure Raw3 but my trial last year showed it to produce a very big file with only minimal IQ over the earlier version. Its difficult! I am working on a 13in laptop so its hard to know what others see on their more expensive hardware. ($6000 worth!)

Although embedded in what you said, perhaps not good for your sponsors, it would be great to have an episode on which products you use.

As my Luminar Neo god would u or do u use the DxO color effects with it? If so I’d love to see it.
What u failed to include is whether any of the software u reviewed has the ability to piss u off as much as Luminar

Does any of these DxO programs do a good job at layer masking for real estate photography?

Thank you in advance
