What happens when you block someone on your iPhone?

iOS has a built-in blocking feature. Here's what happens when you block someone from sending you messages and phone calls.

It really sucks that someone who you have blocked can still leave you a voicemail.

I wish there was an option to not get the voicemails from blocked numbers. I don't want them. Ever.

Blocking someone means they shouldn’t be able to even dial your number, much less reach your voicemail. Useless.

How do you know if you someone sent you a message on iMessage if you blocked them than unblocked

Can you still be able to get the old message if you unblock that one person

The "Blocked Messages" inbox.. Is that only available on the iPhone 6's? I have a 5S and can't find this feature.

This isn't completely accurate because we tried it and actually got a "delivered" message. It was slightly delayed but we did get a delivered message
