Prime Hydration NOT SAFE?!

Videos have emerged recently of pallets of Prime Hydration bottles being destroyed, and fans of the brand have shown concerns. Prime Hydration is a sports drink owned by YouTubers KSI and Logan Paul and has quickly become the most sought after drink on the market. When fans saw videos recently of bottles labelled as not safe for human consumption and then getting destroyed, they were left with many questions. KSI took to twitter to alleviate any concerns, stating that: “The manufacturer put too much electrolyte blend in an ice pop batch so they had their quality team destroy them.”

This is normal on huge production scale it's to easy to make a 1% error in a batch then toss so much away, looks alot but are not really alot at all. Machines break or not counting right amount of ingredients per batch or training a new hire is common for 1% of errors or more. And food/drinks is alway tested before leaving a facility in most companies. Quality teams always inspect every step in the process of the making right down to final packaging. And most companies store the food/drinks because of safety to make sure that everything is good before shipped to the store floor. I have been in the food industry for over 5 years now so don't worry Quality departments doing their best to keep us safe! So this is a good thing that they own up and take it out toss it in the trash so no accidents or mistakes might make one of these to a store sales floor. It's to easy to make a mistake and someone getting sick. So I'm proud that the company is taking responsibility to make sure everyone is safe!

I’m not a fan of them or their drink but I’ve heard the machines behind drink manufacturers calculate how much of what ingredients go into a batch and if it’s not up to quality it will NOT let it go Thru anyways again I’m not a fan but I believe him when he says that was the cause, especially for a mass production company, I’d expect one batch to be very large.

Yeah I’d be worried if I saw the “not safe for consumption” lanes on batches going on to shelves, qc’s doing their job

Prime is not owned by Logan Paul and KSI. Combined, they are a large minority stake holder and spokesmen for the brand.

Any half decent manufacturer will have a Quality Control department that tests each batch to ensure compliance with specifications. If they are confirmed to fail specs, they are not sent to customers.
