I bought my nano s 2 years ago thru a 3rd party.
Since the seed phrase was generated on the inital setup, im guessing thats a good sign the device has not been compromised and still has its integrity?

All packaging and materials appeared in tact

Thank for the great video. Question off topic if you don't mind. I have a few Ledger Nano S devices. I purchased them a few years ago, use them just a handful of times a year, and have them in safe storage. My first Ledger Nano S device's screen slowly began to degrade and eventually went 'black.' I messaged Customer Support a few months ago but no reply. I noticed similar screen issues on my 2nd device a few months ago. I just now checked the screen and its impossible to read; it's essentially dead in the water. Do you know if this is a common issue with Ledger Nano S screens? Also, I'm planning on buying a Ledger Nano S plus and importing seed phrase from my 2nd device. There shouldn't be an issue correct? Thanks for you support.

I bought my Ledger Nano S Plus from Best Buy. There was no plastic wrapping around it. It was in a sleeve. I cannot get it to move past the Genuine Check on ledger live. However it does not have any message that it is not genuine. It does not move past "Connect and The chat is not answering my issue!

Is a firmware update similar to a factory reset?

I bought a Ledger Nano S Plus on Amazon but got a Ledger Nano X instead.
The plastic wrap was already removed and the metal part had a big finger print on it.
The online test nevertheless showed that the device is genuine and when I first started it I got the welcome message and then had to set up a new pin and a new seed phrase.
When I first connected it to my laptop and Ledger Live it showed me a firmware update that I installed.
After that I had to restart with the pin and a completelly new seed phrase again for some reason.
However the 3 provided papers for writing down the seed phrase were still empty when I opened the package and I had to use the 2nd seed phrase because the first one was deleted after the firmware update for some reason.

Now I don't know if it's a good idea to send my crypto currencies to this ledger or if I should order a new one from Ledger directly.

I bought nano x via ledger official website. It generated 2 same words when I’m setting up the 24 seed phrases. Is it common 2 out of 24 seed phrases duplicated? Thanks

what if the box was sealed, but I have no instructions page and no recovery words pages? also, I have the device from 10 minutes ago, and I put some bright light on it, and it has some scratches. like 3-4 scratches. This smells fishy not gonna lie.

Mine only turns on when it is plugged in. Odd.

I just saw the Welcome screen but the clear bag/seal did look sketchy. I bought mine in advance from Best Buy and picked up the next day.
