European Fast Food Chains We Want In America

We all have our favorite fast food chains, but if we’ve traveled anywhere in Europe, we’ve probably noticed that things are a bit different. We may have found ourselves at a fast food joint that served fish and chips or huge pretzels, and we probably wondered why we can’t have those in America. There are plenty of unique and delicious European fast food chains that would do really well in the United States, especially for people who are tired of the same old burger and fries or fried chicken. Let’s take a look at some European fast food chains we want in America.

Which of these chains would you want the most?

Ditsch actually would be a treat for americans, as they are not absolutely overpriced like Auntie Annes for example is. Fresh Pretzels start at 65ct

I‘m from Germany and I can tell Ditsch is lowkey disgusting if you want a pretzel go to your local bakery there are also pretzels with seeds and cheese etc. But Nordsee is amazing it‘s quite cheap and they have very tasty fish n chips and stuff

I think the main reason most of those chains haven't crossed the pond is because of a combination of cost and freshness. They may be able to produce their foods cheaply in Europe, but may find it more pricey here in the states.

NORDSEE has connections in Europe that give them access to the freshest fish for their restaurants. Those fish would not be as fresh being shipped oversees. Establishing contacts with fishermen in the states would likely be too costly for them.

Excuse me but wouldn't it be more logical to expand over Europe before entering Us ?

Cornish Pasties are not made with a bread casing, it's usually shortcrust pastry.

Can't speak for the rest of the Euro stuff but I'm in the UK and I've never heard of 'Poppies' fish n chips- tbh most Brits wouldn't regularly go to a chain for a fish supper- not that there's many..we have one called Harry Ramsdens but unfortunately, like the West Cornwall Pastie Co, it's overpriced commercial shite. I'd imagine that the US, along with the rest of us, produces its best grub in small independent outlets. If anyone's visiting London from abroad get yourself down Brick Lane in east London and eat bagels-smoked salmon or salt beef (bit like pastrami) If it's Fish n Chips you're after, head up to Scotland- best in the world. Cheese? The West country, hands down. Meat-Yorks, Lancs & most of Wales. It's a myth that the UK has dreadful food. To be fair, for a long time we had awful cooks combined with the fifty odd years it took us to get over rationing from WW2 which gave rise to the notion that English food was poor. The produce is awesome though :D

Yeah, dream on. Planting a tree doesn't make a burger any healthier.

Nordsee tastes okay but is overprized and every local bakery is better than Ditsch.

Max burger's are really really good. We got some restaurants around Norway and their quality is so much better than the average american fast food joints

Septuagenarian Brit here who has never heard of "Poppie's". Googling it, I see they have just three shops -- and all of them are in central London. So, some way to go yet before they start thinking about expanding overseas. (For reference, there are about 10, 497 other, non-Poppies, fish-and-chip shops in the UK alone.)
