Truck nearly hits school bus after brakes fail

Footage released by authorities in Ohio shows a truck whose brakes had failed narrowly avoiding a collision with a school bus on the morning of April 19.

Truckers are the front line for all of us. Most just don’t recognize their contribution and sacrifices. They leave their families, from days to weeks at a time, to make sure we have what we need when we need it.

Instead of the bus monitor telling the kids "they don't want to know" turn it into a teaching moment.
Teach kids to not assume that people have control of their vehicles at all times.
Teach the kids that they need to be responsible for their self-awareness and safety as well.

You would think the school bus driver would have taken some sort of a event by trying to move out of the way instead of just sitting there with a bus load of people while all the remaining vehicles are trying to move out of the way.

That truck driver should have his license revoked! The ONLY reason that truck couldn't stop is due to failure, BY THE DRIVER, to properly adjust those brakes. In the state of Georgia it is the DRIVER'S responsibility to adjust them. Truck brakes are designed to fail APPLIED. If not, they are out of adjustment. It's bullshit like this lazy-ass driver pulled that created tougher and tougher regulations for the trucking industry.
