this has got to be one of the if not the coolest builds on youtube!

Under heavy acceleration the rear tyres will compress and the front tyres radius increase. Fitting a slightly smaller tyre in the front than what is theoretically correct should be to you advantage. Then program to disconnect when rear has enough traction, probably.

A suggestion… Use your syvex to open the centre diff once wheel slip has finished at the start, 2nd gear onwards to save transmission wind up with the different circumference tyres, while spinning it should be ok but once hooked there will be a lot of force generated 👍

Clutch pedal parachute release would be good aslong as it doesn't get accidentally pressed. Probably move it away from the brake more. Good job with the parts 😎👍

Awesome! I honestly think You made the right desision about keeping those frame parts for a project like this, i mean beside all the work a steelframe would be very heavy in comparision and titanium frame would be realy cool, but horendeously expensive in material alone and titanium is super hard to weld in a safe way so it does not show fatigue cracks ower time (i guess You probably know all that allredy, but for those who newever worked with titanium).

I love the look of that old Volvo and my dream car is a Lamborghini and you are mashing them together beautifully.

Its a good idea to use a air ram to let the ecu actuate the parachute if the car has over a threshold of slide acceleration when in dragracing mode. If the car is sliding the parachute will straighten the car. Also important to keep potential fluid leaks away from the tires of the car

I'm just gonna suggest add another protection bar on the top of the front section of fuel tank, for extra protection in-case the worse thing happen.

I'm intrigued to see how the parachute pedal turned out, I think it is a good idea!

I believe you could at least make the car functional within 6-7 weeks, good luck!

Great. Love the progress and planning. 👍👍 Insane and awesome👏👏
Someone has been watching Cleetus' "Eagle" build and their use of Titanium. 😁
Pedal activated Parachute sounds good, will need practice to be used smoothly and properly of course

Nice progress, go on Peter! Hope you can pull it together by the time the tour will start! It is mindblowing that you can drive such a custom built car on the street in Sweden legally! Can't wait to see the next episode :)

Clutchpedal as release for the chute sounds awesome!

"Making brackets is time-consuming". Can confirm. I got some new fairings for my track motorcycle, and although many of the parts fit with the same brackets as the old one, some do not, and it took a good amount of time to come up with the right shape, holes in the right place, try to fit it, adjust some angle or something a bit - and sometimes you find that you bent something the wrong direction, or drilled the wrong end, etc, and you get to do it again! :)

What a fine piece of engineering. So nice to see it coming all together, you are a magician Peter!

The foot actuated parachute is a great idea

Foot pedal parachute is a cool idea. If you have onboard air, could also have it setup to be controlled by a air cylinder and a valve, then use a button on the steering wheel to activate the chute so you don’t have to try and move your feet. Could also have some safeties built in the throw the chute if the car is out of control

Your exactly correct about titanium on the US Pro-mod style cars. The main structure is usually made from 4130 to meet SFI specs, and a lot of the mounting structure, and some suspension parts are made from Ti, and will typically save 30-40kg over making it from 4130.
