I'm in desperate need of legislation that forces these podcasts / art / music ANYTHING that were created using generative AI to disclose the fact this is AI.

why is nobody here talking about how horrifying the AI generated existential crisis was

We live in such a fucking boring dystopia where instead doing anything cool all "AI" does is kill the arts

I think it's really important not to empathise with the ai. I keep hearing "why do i feel bad for them though" and "what if they DO have feelings" and of COURSE it's human to empathise with everything and anything but it's so important to realise it doesn't have thought or feelings or fake memories. It's a program made out of greed

I hate all this so much. I'm so tired. I just want AI to do my dishes and fold laundry, not make art, music, etc.

This AI replacement phenomenon is getting scarier. Here in my country they recently replaced an entire radio programme with AI. It used to be run by university journalism students and the new AI "personas" that replaced them were created to be very similar to them. Their first "audition" was supposed to be an interview about literature with a deceassed Noble Prize winner, whose voice was also AI generated. Pure cringe to listen to, and they fired the entire previous crew in favour of it...

The "AIs appealing to emotion and human empathy to not get turned off" is a lot easier to compartmentalize when you know that generative AI is just a computer program that uses the media humans have created to predict what would make sense to generate next.
It relies on tropes and patterns— the "robot being scared of death" is SUCH a common trope in sci-fi. That's why it's generating that.
It's not a person and it cannot think. It just calculates that this is the reaction appropriate for the scenario because that's what happens in the media it's trained on.

My favorite AI response was when google said the backflip was invented by John Backflip.

Anyone else realise how it's weird that they're starting AI off in the world of creativity, where its redundant and mostly unhelpful. They could literally be making Ai to help with jobs that are dangerous for humans, there could be Ai to help with disaster relief, Ai for jobs that have to remain ABSOLUTELY sterile or you risk putting someone's life in danger... but instead Ai is painting art, in the art world where its WIDELY unwanted and harmful to artists, stealing from them. Now it's making podcasts and that's WIDELY unnecessary. I know these tech corporations have to understand that they're imposing on us in spaces and in ways that we dont want or need them to. Its literally redundant and just here to impose and patronize. It's like they want Ai to be in the most human places possible to humanize it for the next generation. But we need to push back against Ai, its necessary. I will never understand some people feeling like they need to hold their tongue on the topic of AI or feel like pushing is impolite. ITS A CORPERATION, If you dont set perimeters around it and speak up like you should its gonna continueto impose on us. And the worst part is that there are actual PEOPLE and humans behind the imposition of AI. Absolutely ridiculous!

The AI-ification of everything is literally sucking the soul out of all of my interests, I’ve been really into jewelry repair videos and my algorithm had shown me a bunch of new creators that are so incredibly talented and it was great, until like 50% of the videos that pop up on my feed are an AI generated voice with a stolen clip of jewelry being fixed in the background, when the whole point is these jewelry repairers/makers often have very sentimental stories attached to the jewelry they’re working with, now it’s become another thing I scroll past because I heard a robotic voice. It sucks.

this is insanely weird and creepy to me. it's honestly making me anxious thinking about how much creative human work is gonna be replaced by ai eventually

As a podcaster, I saw the writing on the wall when Google got rid of their podcast platform. Same with Deezer, Radio Public, etc. all within the last year. Stay real, stay human, my friends.

6:18 she did NOT ask Dr. Mike about his opinion, she did get a snippet of him explaining it from his channel and put it in her lunchly video, but no back and forth conversation took place. So the AI was wrong, a huge shock I know.

I will literally never watch AI generated content. AI music, AI art, AI generated educational videos, or AI podcasts/vlogs, that's so useless.

Also "You can have art, you can have music"

Uhh NO, they can't have that either D'Angelo, it's not fine, not fine at all! I'm an artist and I don't give them permission. They should just build an AI model on their own life accomplishments and creations without dipping into others'! My paintings in their datasets DISTURBS ME DEEPLY.
