Explorer 2 is a one of the best Rolex watches. Especially white Polar. It looks way more interesting than random Submariner. Scratches happens for all watches if u wear them. It is impossible to avoid scratches (even clothes leaves some marks on watch).. I even say it is more headacke if it happens on ceramic bezel. Date settings are the same thing on all GMT Rolex watches.. Size also not a case at all. I have smaller wrist and it looks so great on it. It is Rolex and cost something, so it could be big and heavy. I mean it is not really huge as Rolex Deepsea. Rolex Explorer 2 is a real tool watch. For Rolex collectirs it is a must have watch. For daily wear it is also best friend on wrist.

42MM is the perfect size for my large size and my depleting eye sight. Hopefully I will get one soon from my AD but in white. 🥰😍🤩

All your complaints are the reason why I got this watch. Fixed bezel, size

Feedback: 1) Bezel scratches - It’s a tool watch! It shouldn’t be viewed as a trophy watch. It’s like a BMW GS, …it needs to be used for is intended purpose, …adventure! 2) 42mm case - If you have an 8” wrist, …it fits perfectly and looks great. 3) Date change - it’s a sophisticated watch with a number of complications.

FYI - all ROLEX GMTs and to my knowledge all TRUE GMT movements require the date to be set in this manner - it isn't something specific to this watch. The scratch point is valid, but that again is also true of all watches with a steel bezel, but good point about the radial brushing not being as easy a polish - that being said, most folks who opt for this Rolex model use it as a harder wearing "tool" watch so scuffs, scratches and dings are part of the deal. And finally the size point, it entirely depends on your wrist and your preference - I owned the older 40mm and now have the 42mm (with the polar dial which appears visually even larger) and for me I actually like the 42mm version better on my 7.65" wrist, plus the slightly larger indices and beefier hands with the bold orange GMT hand make it super legible - arguably one of my most easy to read watches. Personally, I love this model, but it definitely is not for everyone. Good video and best of luck with growing your viewership.

All reasonable points and a fair appraisal. My biggest gripe is the limited range of adjustment with the strap. 6+6 links is a little big, but 5+6 even with the easy link extended is too small. If only Rolex fitted the glidelock.

Great video!
The model I like most from the brand. The previous sizes are even better.

Nice video. I just subscribed to your channel. My favorite all-time watch. I both love and hate the occasional scratches on the bezel. It definitely gives it an all school tool watch vibe, but they sometimes bother me. Having said that, in 5 years of wear I only have two minor scuffs on my Explorer II bezel. I wear it hard and don't baby it, so overall it holds up really well. The Explorer II will never be the watch for most people, but those in the know love it. Same with the Explorer.

Can't small wristed guys let us big wristed guys have just one thing please. Rolex makes plenty of other GMT watches in 40mm, leave this one alone.

Point 1 and 3 dont bother me. Its Rolex's quintessential tool watch. Scratches are part of the deal, if not it just ends up being another piece of jewelry.
The movement is a flyer style gmt, like in the GMT Master II... Quickset dates not avbl there either.
Just the size thing...if they returned to a 40mm case but keep the hands and markers as chunky... I'd buy one, or die trying

Size.. i want this watch, but its too big for me. 39 would be great. Not being able to quickly adjust date is annoying, but id still buy if it were the right size

Ok let’s get a grip here. I own the 2021 model, wearing almost daily for last 3 years. My eye sight is not great, would need a magnifying glass to see scratches. Every thing shows wear after use. New car, pair of shoes, the wrinkles on your mug. So really stop this horse poop about scratches on the bezel. I realize you put this crap out there to get clicks from idiots like me. Enough already. By the way, a great watch if you can get it. Best to you.

This watch is a design failure. It looks bloated, like it doesn't have enough room, if that makes sense.
