Everyday Watch for 1 Year | Rolex Explorer II

Watches like this are made to be worn, EVERY SINGLE DAY! The scratches, gouges and imperfections tell your story with the piece over time and that is something that cannot be replicated in any other way. I have used and abused this Explorer 2 in my every day travels but I love it more and more as time ticks on!
*for the hardcore Rolex nerds… the moment number is actually the 3285 - sorry for the misspeak*

Watch guy here, absolutely loved the video. Extremely refreshing to see modern Rolex’s being worn and enjoyed as they should be, and not sitting in a safety deposit box and taken out only for an instagram post. Subscribed. Keep it up man.

Cheers for actually using your watch as designed! No safe queens, just loads of scratches and stories. I’m genuinely impressed that you’ve never wound it manually. An enthusiast if there ever was one.

You’ve reviewed your Rolex Explorer II better than many watch youtubers did before you! Well done! I hope you are able to wear this watch in good health for a long, long time! 🍀

One of the best and most authentic watch videos I've seen on YT. Great overview without any of the snobbishness from the usual watch channels. Love how your Explorer is used and abused, no need to baby that thing! I recently got a similar watch, the Tudor Black Bay Pro and absolutely love it. Hard as nails and the GMT function is so useful. Had no idea about the compass hack - so cool! Enjoy your watch and good luck achieving that next milestone

Umm, this is my favorite video you've ever made. One of the best videos I've seen on YouTube in a long time. I had a whole thing written out but long story short, youre the man! Congratulation on what you've accomplished so far! The sky's the limit and you got us all here to follow you along the way!

Great video! It's awesome to see - for a change - someone talking about a Rolex who actually uses it for it's intended purpose! I wanted a Submariner from the age of 14, so I worked my backside off after school, at weekends and through holidays and when I was 17 I walked into the store and bought one. That watch hardly ever left my wrist for almost 19 years. I wore it for everything from my adventures all around the globe, to city life (London), I wore it on my wedding day.... everything! The only times I took it off were at night, in the shower (waterproof watches don't like hot water!), or when I was shooting (I preferred to have nothing on my wrist so used a pocket watch). My watch and I parted rather painfully after almost 19 years. I can't replace it, but I'm looking at buying an Explorer for the next phase of my life.

Good on you, and thanks again

I have the 16570 and wore it everyday for about 14 years. In 2011 when the 216570 came out I wanted it but never pulled the trigger until 2022 when I bought brand mew 226570. I wore it. Everyday for the first year and love it. Now I wear it 95% of the time and wear the 16570 the other 5%. Wonderful video brother!!!

Got one last December. Have worn it nonstop. I couldn't be happier. It's fantastic for EDC.

I’m a watch guy and I really enjoyed watching this entire video and learning about your watch journey. What makes it great and interesting is listening to your personal experience with that watch, and what you like about it. Thank you for sharing

Enjoyed this video. I have the same watch (Explorer II with the black dial) and I absolutely love it. Totally flies under the radar, but if you know, you know. Best of luck on the next one.

Hi Talon, loved watching your video. What strikes me the most is how grounded and authentic you are. I love the way you shared about your business success without blowing any hot air about it, and how you're looking to commemorate major milestones with a significant purchase, like a Rolex.

I've been fascinated by Rolex ever since finding out about 10 years ago that they are one of the rare watch manufacturers using 904L stainless steel for greater corrosion & scratch resistance.

Then about 3 years ago, I chanced on a video of the Rolex Sky-Dweller by Jenni Elle, and I have been hooked ever since. It's one of the most complicated Rolex watches with 14 patents, but just appears to be like a larger Date-Just.

Then just last year, the Explorer-II white dial caught my eye, and I'm gunning for it to be my daily wear watch, with the Sky-Dweller as a special occasion watch.

Thanks for sharing, and will be subscribing to your channel.

Watching this, I realized I miss something that you are sharing with us about your enjoyment of your watch & your first year of being a Rolex owner. I felt this way about my old ex I. More is not more with watch collecting. You’ve communicated something here that is the reason we all are into watches. It’s special. You my friend are 100% a watch guy. Perhaps more than the people with large collections who view watches as assets or investments. Hold onto the feeling and impart it into others! Cheers, my friend.

This is such a coincidence. I bought my first Rolex sub the other day celebrating some achievements and over coming some struggles. I love it bro! Congrats!!

Watched so many Explorer 2 videos, only heard the compass feature in your video! Thanks a lot!

First video I saw of yours, I totally relate to your passion for anything mechanical and percision made. As a full time military member I switched out my Solar G-Shock 3 months ago after 8 years of dependable wear for a Hamilton Khaki Auto that has scratched the itch for now until I can get my grail which is that exsact black dial Explorer ii. Great video, looking forward to exploring more of your content!
