I remember as a kid in high school being told that some dude named Thanos killed all of the Marvel superheroes. I didn't believe him. Then he showed me this book. I couldn't believe what I was reading. This video took me back there.

One of Cap's Best Moments, his team defeated, Thanos becoming a god, half the universe dead, and he walks, calmly, towards the mad titan without an ounce of fear, he is Captain America, the greatest Avenger.

This is what made me a cap fan.

You gotta have nothing but respect for Cap.
Even as the Universe dies. As his team gets murdered all around him. Even as he’s trapped in one spot about to be killed, he doesn’t flinch. He doesn’t blink. He doesn’t cower.
What he does, is wait.
And when he sees his shot he takes it. As hard as he can. So even if Thanos wins, that ache in his face will always remind him that somebody stood up against him.

This is one of my favorite comic moments of all time. Light years way from home, his friends all lay dead around him, all alone and yet Captain America still stands up for what’s right. He still challenges a being with whom practically possesses the power of God. But It isn’t over until the last man falls. Captain America stands tall and fights to the bitter end.

Also one of the best speed feats in comics.

I remembered when Thanos snapped his fingers random people/ heroes were disappearing in different comics. Pretty cool moment that made you want to buy the Infinity Series, just to see what was going on.

This is the original Marvel comics - Thanos had no army nor blade! I really don't like how today's Marvel movies are not in sync with the actual comic books.

I had bought the issue after this (Infinity Gauntlet #5). $3.50 was a lot for a 10 year old in 1991 lol. I enjoyed the Infinity Gauntlet series over the subsequent Infinity War series.

The same way cap stood up to Dr Beyonder Doom! No one even dreamed of facing Dr doom with the power of the beyonder and then Cap just picks up his shield, walks up to him and smacks him left N right 😂 knowing damn well he could die at any moment and didn't care one bit!
