talks about bible translations and their importance whether it matters or not and what are the differences. But to sum it all up they all have same message , just the english is updated and whether it’s an early manuscript directly or a majority text that was a copy of the earlier manuscripts that survived to be put together in english as the bible with all verses all manuscripts before the printing press and church father quotations to keep the full preservation of the text without error. Best being the King James and the New internation Version

Scripture : Proverbs 18:17

I have my mother's KJV bible, 1950s. This year, I ordered Ray Comfort's NKJV, and I like it.

the verses that the NIV leaves out and the ones that are purposely mistranslated are significant. thats why many call it the 'Not Inspired Version'. It has Jesus lie when he says he is not going to passover when the King James says he is not going yet and then he goes. The NIV is very shady.

I don't fully agree with if a person can't read the old English change versions. I started with the KJV and yes it was hard, but it made me reread and study harder.

Newer versions (including the NIV which Mr Sam said is the same as the KJV as far as doctrines are concerned) destroy the infinitely important doctrine of the new birth. For example, compare NIV 1 Corinthians 1:18 with KJV 1 Corinthians 1:18. Also, 2 Corinthians 2:15.

My preferred bibles are The Orthodox Study Bible and Douay-Rheims Bible.

Sam, the Douay-Rheims Bible came out before the KJV. You're Catholic now. You should look to the Catholic translations: Douay-Rheims, Revised Standard Version 2nd Catholic Edition, English Standard Version Catholic Edition.

I believe the easiest Protestant translation to read yet very accurate with no watered down language is the ESV. That's my favorite Protestant translation. But I'm Catholic, so I like the ESV-CE. But my favorite Catholic Bible is the Douay-Rheims.

Of course Bible translations matter! There are good ones, there are bad ones. And then there are excellent ones and very bad horrible translations.

Sam Excuse my ignorance but i bought an NIV bible cple months ago and I haven't read it yet but I've veen seeing a lot of negative comments about it so I decided to do some research and it seems like it has been corrupted.. So i decided to buy literally the NRSV I chose this one instead of the King James did i make the right choice or is either one good? What do i do with the NIV bible i dont want a corrupted book do i just throw it out lol?

So Sam's argument is that since the church used the Byzantine Text that is the correct text because God wouldnt allow them to use a false manuscript line yet at minute 12:33 he admits the Orthodox Church uses the Greek Septuigent which has some major differences from the Masoretic text the KJV uses. So which is true the Masoretic or the Greek Septuigent, the early church used the Greek septuigent but then they shifted to the Masoretic text so it appears the Masoretic is false but oh wait that's the one the most popular Bible for the past 400 years used. Conclusion: Sam's argument is invalid, God was fine with the Byzantine and Masoretic because its has a high accuracy and doesnt diminish the essentials( Trinity, Jesus being God, Crucifixion, Resurrection, Baptism, etc) but that doesn't mean they are perfect we absolutely should prioritize the earliest manuscripts and the Early Church Father quotes of scripture.

The holy fathers said that in the last times many will change the texts of the Holy Scriptures. So it is God's permission. It's not good for people. Of course.

The most accurate translation is the Septuagint translation. The Masoretic translation is not good.

I prefer the HalleluYah Scriptures, it has the original names of everyone; example Peter = Kepha.
