⏰ TIMECODES ⏰
0:00 Five Note Scale with Simultaneous Onset
0:57 Establishing Forward Placement
2:02 Developing Twang
2:57 Inhale, Suspend, Exhale
4:41 Arpeggio using two vowels
6:13 Ascending and Descending Major Scale with a 9th

Dr. Dan is hands down the greatest vocal coach I have encountered on YouTube so far. Just had to get that out there. Thank you Dan!

Fun! I could download it and practice in the car! (Kidding!!! I know we don’t do exercises in the car!)

Very 'Hey Jude' vibe from the last track... hahaha

Thanks very much for the warm ups, they’re very helpful. I find with some of the exercises they go rather high. Am I to use falsetto during warm up or stick to regular voice/head voice?

This might be the best vocal warm I have done. It is easy to follow along with the visual display.

What about female please. It would help me as new to hear you instruct each with a couple examples. Is a certain vowel sound used. Thank you

With the sing does it help switch chest, voice to head voice? And increase range & belt?

Love the exercises but some things bothered me the first time I tried them! For many of the exercises the visuals aren't timed with the music, so they get distracting. Also the sirens are barely audible over the background music, so it's pretty hard to follow the pitch. Do you have other videos specifically about that exercise? It's clearly the trickiest one and some days I struggle to glide all the way up

Jonathan

I don't think this one works for me.
Either that or my breathing just sucks

thats really great thanks a lot, beginners benefit a lot from a little bit of home structure
btw, the 5th exercise is not synced with the graphics

Second. Edit: Odd question... My voice actually feel more relaxed when singing the female voice warmup... 🤣 My voice type is tenor. Should I use female warm up or male warm up 😅

Edit 2: Ok nvm ^ only applies to the first exercise... the female warmup is definitely more taxing for the later exercises xD

Edit 3: I’m sitting on the fence 🤣 some exercises are ‘easier’ in the male warm up. Some are ‘easier’ on the female side. Why can’t my voice just choose a side 😣🤦

This is a great warm-up, but the piano sound is too quiet. It's hard to distinguish from the rest of the track sometimes
