Good description! Very helpful. Thank you for getting to the point in all your videos. People dont have time for all those blah blah blah videos out there. A breath of fresh air! Keep up the good work

Thank you, now I think I know what's wrong with my car.
the description you just said fit's 100% what I'm experiencing, but my stupid mechanic said there is nothing wrong cause (it doesn't happen all the time, and when he drove it he couldn't duplicate the experience)... but when it happened to me during traffic it was terrifying and I felt something will blow up

Hmm, I have a 2017 Ford Escape with 48, XXX miles on it. I've been having this thumping/knocking sound seemingly under my feet, that I hear ONLY when I am pressing the gas at above 38mph. Yes, it's that specific. I don't hear it when I turn, go over bumps, or when I let off the gas. I have been chasing this for months and this is the first video I have seen that comes even remotely close to what I've been experiencing. Definitely going to have a closer look at it today.

Make sense, this is what happens on my car as I accelerate to between 40 to 60 KPH. Thanks.

Thanks for the video, explanation, and especially the noise. I have the exact same symptom for the inner cv joint.

Question: Is there a vibration as well when the car is parked?

I'm chasing a vibration on my gf's Celica, and we were going to jump the gun on getting a right side axle for it, but today it made me second think. The car has the kind of vibration you mention, but only at speeds between 90 and 120km/h under load. The more you press the gas, the more it vibrates, specially in 5th gear, but it does it regardless of the revs. One would think it's a misfire the way it behaves, but you can rip with it outside of these speeds and it's perfectly smooth. I'm second thinking because we made a test about jacking the wheels one at a time and it doesn't do it that way, it's only if both are spinning, which makes me worry it's an issue with the differential (although i wouldn't know how this failure mode would work in this case). Really stumped here, if you can lend me a hand on how to maybe feel the cv joints with my hands or something, as i plan on pulling and inspecting both axles and replacing the gear oil. Thank you, as this video has more or less opened a path on how to go about this, but still unsure.

It is inner CV joints for me, and it's on both left and right side. I have vibrations when accelerating. It happens mostly around speed of 20-30 km/h, but I also feel some slight vibrations on higher speeds. So yeah, my friend checked it out and we found out that both inner CV joints have a bit of play in them. I will have them replaced in a few days probably. And yeah, car is Opel Astra J GTC.

How can you tell which side the inner cv failure is coming from if there’s no visible damage on either side

is it ever a loud humming noise that starts about 45-50 mph? it also gets momentarily louder when taking the foot off the accelerator, under engine braking until it goes away about 40mph

My car is vibrating like this, but mostly when I am going up or down hill and usually when I am in a high gear / low RPM (1500 or less) around 50mph and give it gas. It does not really do it accelerating from a stop.

I have a noise on my Renault Trafic, clunking going over bumps only, could this be inner CV joint, please?

0:10 learn how to shift, there is no reason for you to be sitting at 2500-3000 RPM the entire time. You aren't going 90 MPH

This is the issue I’m having. When I accelerate into a left hand turn, I hear a clicking type sound. When I coast into a left hand turn I hear nothing. Right hand turns there is no noise. I replaced the left CV axle and the noise is still there. No you have me wondering if I changed the wrong one. Why does it not click when coasting into turns? You think a right one needs replaced when it makes noise on left hand turns?
