How does E-bike conversion BAFANG BBS02 perform on TRAILS?

I have 11-50 cassette 42 offset front sprocket. Its a beast on trails. I have a prosthetic leg and im 210lbs. Rocky, logs, hills all that. Maybe not perfect, but it is amazing! The trails he is on in this video are smooth. I been in some situations I shouldn't have been in. It never left me hanging yet

I've just had my giant talon 3. Upgraded with the bafang 750mid drive bbs02, 44tooth. Torque is more than enough for most. Ace trails you have. Nice video

I do have a bafang BBS02 on the trek marlin seven. It does work well but the ground clearance at log crossings or in real rocky areas can be an issue. You can see this on my videos of the Cape fear River mountain bike trails. Great trails by the way.

My BBS02 mobile doesn't have disc brakes... I think I will have to wait for discs for those trails! Nice video... looks super fun

How would you compare it with torque sensor motors? Is it a big difference with pedal assist?

It's only harder to control because Its a hardtail with extortionate power no traction!
I have this on marin hawkhill 1 it has amazing traction control

I was very close to getting the bbs02 but I have the bafang HD and that is a beast and should last longer. Have you installed brake sensors?

I would highly recommend the brake sensors over having the gear sensor for various reasons, cheaper and safety but mainly for less maintenance and wear. So having the brake sensor which comes in the bafang HD kit that I got is to use the brake like a clutch on a motor bike just before gear changing. This will save your chain and rear sprockets from wearing out so quickly as there is so much torque on those parts. So what I did was make my left gear leaver softer as in you have to pull it more to engage the brake. I done this so I’m not using the brake when I initially pull it but will cut the power to the motor before engaging the brake.

Installing the brake sensor is a real pain to get right but once done is very beneficial.
