Показать описание
Hello to the small number of faithful viewers reading this! Thanks for hanging in there with me. This video is of songs featuring slap bass in yearly chronological order from 1969-1979. If you feel I missed anything from this time period, feel free to tell me in the comments. In fact, any comments are encouraged- they don't even have to be positive! Just make sure to avoid swear words, slurs, and anything remotely cyberbullying (sexism, racism, homophobia, islamophobia, anti-semitic sentiments, xenophobia, or any other -isms, anti-s, or -phobias).

In addition, my definition of "slap" is fairly loose. I'm not a bass player, so some of the baselines may actually use plucking, tapping, twanging, or other techniques that are not actually slapping. However, the title of this video would have been way too long if I tried to make it accurate, so it's just called "Slap Bass Songs."

None of the other pictures are mine either, but I forget where I found them, so just google them if you want to see where they came from.
Sorry I forgot so many great songs from the seventies! I'm sure there's tons of disco I didn't include, and since I made this video, I've come to realize that every song on Lenny White's album Streamline would be perfect for the list.
Finally, here is the links for the songs that were blocked due to copyright:
Thanks, stay safe, and Black Lives Matter!
