Macbook Air (11 inch): First Impression Review

I've been using my new 11 inch Macbook Air for 10 days now - so I thought I'd record a few first impressions - particularly comparing it to my older 15 inch Macbook Pro.

Disclaimer: I'm not a techy guy and this review doesn't come from that perspective either - rather it's simply some first impressions based upon my own workflow with the Air.

This is actually an incredibly helpful review for the layman like myself because although knowing the specs is great, it's the little things like it not cutting into your wrists that are interesting to know!

thanks for the thoughts. The air does look nice, I have been considering one for a while but it is hard to justify with a 15" laptop, ipad and iphone already :)

I have an iMac OS X 20" as my primary computer and will be receiving my Air in the mail in a few days. Honestly, for college, the Air seems to be a much, much better choice than the iPad. Worth the money.

Thanks Darren. Two points. Firstly you need to turn auto foucs off in these videos. Also I much prefer this camera angle for your videos than the extreme close up head shot.

my macbook air is still working properly i dont have any problem with it for surfing and editing video and excellent typing..and its not hurting my eyes but its good that the new macbook air today is retina but as i have said my old macbook air 2013 is ok with me

Great video, exactly the type of review I was looking for. I have a 15.6" Windows machine with 6GB of memory and a 600 HD. I wanted a second machine that was more portable since my laptop is a beast to carry; it needs it's own laptop bag because it won't fit in my backpack. I was thinking about getting an iPad but I wanted something more functional. After watching your video, the Macbook Air 11" seems like the perfect second machine.

Awesome review. I currently have an '07 white MacBook and I'm considering buying a new computer in the near future. I'm considering buying one of the new 13" MacBook Pros, but I'm also considering an 11" Air. I mainly use my computer for web-browsing, emails, and writing papers for school. My thought was, if I were going to purchase the 11" Air, I would purchase an iMac sometime down the road to use as a primary computer. What are your thoughts? Thanks!

Mac Mini or MacBook Air? I am a student and obviously don't have a lot. Of money, but need something that's high quality and that'll last. I have tv and monitors too

I have the 2010 Macbook. I would like to keep this laptop, but I need something for schoolwork and traveling. I use my original for gaming n' stuff, but I think I actually want to get an actual laptop. Do you recommend the 11 inch or the 13 inch? Plus, I would like to put a colorful rubber case on it to make it mine! :)
